Somebody gotta mansplain this to me. Louis Vitton

When my daughter was in high school and wanted an expensive purse, I told her my simple rule for purses:

Your purse should never be worth more than the items it carries.

She questioned that reasoning, stating that it didn't make sense because we were not poor. That is when I explained to her that while I was not poor, she definitely was. That whole concept was quite the epiphany for her.

So many places to drop this one, but given she was in Paris, I'm sure she snagged some LV. You can't go out asking for more money looking broke. So, we're funding shopping sprees...so that we can fund--more--shopping--sprees...?🤔 Makes the amount of money that the enabling, evil, American killing government workers personally steal from Wade seem pretty inconsequential. Maybe gonna see if O Zel is hiring...

Imo, LV is a fucking useless status symbol that will perpetuate the downfall of society and continue to get shallow unskilled people into jobs they have no business being in. I see where you guys can go down the road comparing a purse to a tool but that’s the wrong way of thinking about it IMO. It’s not apples and oranges. If you got money to buy an LV then great if that is your thing, just know your money will be used for anti American socialist crap. But at the end of the day, one is a fucking purse and one is an actual tool. If buying a tool why not buy the best you can buy? Will it make you a better shooter? No. Is it better than running a Tikka at a match? Not likely. I love my Tikkas! Could they be built better? Maybe, and if so why not buy thr best you can run? I can’t afford 7 ZCO’s and 7 AI’s (well I could but I got other priorities) but if I could and not want/need other things that I consider more important then I’d damn sure have one or seven lol but it’s a tool that can actually do something, if needed. You can’t use a purse for shit other than showing some shallow people that you think you might be the shit and that in return believe you have reached some measure of what modern society calls success. Or maybe you can beat someone with it but i wouldn’t try it, the damn straps probably would break off in the first swing. Then again, I don’t know shit about purses. Maybe they are the greatest thing ever and I’m sure LV is all about pushing great things for America.

It’s a sign of success.

For us we put out money into cars, guns, reloading gear etc. other people and women lol do the fashion bit to show what they have.

I have a friend of mine who is that way. He spends all his money on designer clothes. Like he spent $1000 on a Tshirt! Now for me this sounds absolutely crazy BUT I can see the madness by the amount of attention he gets when he goes out and about.

He used to buy nothing but knockoffs and looked the part that he had all this money. Well by looking the part he started getting into meetings and knowing people to become the part. He is the ultimate fake it until you make it.

He went from making 30k a year to now owing multiple Pizza chains and real estate.
For some people...not most people. Poors buy expensive stuff to look rich, which is why they stay poors. Rich people buy quality cheap stuff, which is how they get/stay rich.

When I bought my wife her first LV bag I set off a chain of events that led me to a strange place.

I was disgusted with the idea of spending $3k on pocketbook- and rightfully so. I also got the most sublimely filthy lovin' I've ever had. As the bag collection grew things got even more expensive and freaky.

If she ever gets a Birkin bag I don't think I'll be able to look her in the eye the next morning.
Good for you sir! I can go buy a $500 meal snd a $2700 purse for my wife and still not get any. I envy you. And my wife ain’t near what she looked like 20 years ago. So maybe I shouldn’t be complaining! 😂
