Several years ago I repossessed a heat and air system from a dead beat that knew the rules/laws. He wrote me a check and then stopped payment on it. He told the judge that he was expecting some money and would pay soon. After a month I had to take him back to court. Any way I finally get a writ of repossession. This took like 6 months and a bit of money.
So I just put the equipment in the back storage. About a month later a guy called me and said that he was having a problem with his a/c. He said that he lost his job but was working some temp stuff to keep his bills paid.
His system was junk and not worth fixing. So I told him that I would install the repo system and when he got straight he could pay me. He asked me how much he owed and I told him to not worry about it until things in his life were good.
Several months later, probably 8 or so, he walks up to me in in a Lowe's or home Depot or something and hands me a stack of cash and says thank you for helping me when things were bad. I started to count the money and he said that he was sure that it was enough and to keep the extra.
He covered it and then a generous amount more. I felt guilty for taking the extra but he would not have any part of taking it back.
I usually don't lend with the expectation of getting it back. But then again I don't lend to just anyone.

Last week my sister in law calls my wife for us to buy 30 acres of flood plain for 100k so they could purchase a pos house on a hill 36acres for more than they could afford an additional 250k.
So we go look at it and the land they want us to get is decent and we could start a nursery on it.
So I tell the sil we will purchase 60 of the acres and that will bring the cost of the house and 6 acres down to what you still can’t afford so at least when you foreclose on it we get to keep the property.
She says that they have to have more land than that andwerent interested in the house any way they just liked the land which they wanted us to purchase. This is to say she called us up so we could purchase 100k of land that they could enjoy. What a nairobian!

And in order to open the agency and to get the rest of the money she needs $50,000 to open the agency and once it’s open there are other investors but they will not invest unless it’s open!!
So I’ve been trying to look for people that would invest that type of money and she would give it back in a week with interest and she would double the interest and you and somebody else are the only people that I know that would be able to afford that!!

The things that make me think its not him running the scam is the mention of NC (why?) and Obama.
