Your question is better formed by asking “who told them, who helped coordinate and why?”. How exactly did they know which area to go through? How did they know which areas were so lightly defended that they would have a high chance of success? I have yet to hear of failed breach attempts into Israel from Palestine. This is one of the most heavily guarded borders in the world, 24-7. Yet no effective force was around to respond? No QRF? Reservists were trying to catch buses to get to the base. What is one to conclude?

If we pull up to 100,000 feet and look at the general situation to ask questions we won’t get answers from anyone, but some conclusions become obvious.

The WHY is easy. I read something that always stuck with me. It was posed as a questions. What do people with more money than they could ever spend covet? Power. But not the type of power that comes with being a high ranking elected official, but the type of power that comes from ruling over the high ranking political officials. Think people who run the President.

The WHO is probably the usual cast of power hungry psychopaths. Or one layer removed from those psycopaths. Probably the latter.
