As a prospective LEO it hurts to read news about officers being shot killed or not. Hope they and their families recover fast and the damn coward that is still loose gets what's coming to him.
So you think the popo were ambushed? If so why is the Chief not being more forthright with his answers like he usually is. I kind of liked him, and still do but this video above has me rethinking.

The police ambushed through the front door and got bushwhaked by Mr. Tuttle. That is what happened. All they had to do was look Mr. Tuttle up and see he had a reach around knock on the door warrant coming to him. For some reason the police wanted to do it the hard way. And I'm going to throw the judge under the bus too. But not for any of the fruitcake being passed around here. I made my mind up when I read that bullshit affidavit.
Strange deadly shit going on,. I cant trust anyone in government anymore, except the Mil, and even then only less than field grade officers and enlisted Army.

Have they released the names of the Officers yet or are they still going with "Because the officers work undercover, their names aren't being released at this time."?
Does that make sense to anyone? Surely they are not using their real names as their undercover identity right? So what does it hurt to release their names as being the Officers shot?
Its not like on one of the witness videos you cannot see the one Officers face but the news keeps showing that video. So a video showing face does not affect undercover but a REAL name does?

Some random thoughts so I don't forget them (old fart here).
The free lance reporter that went to 7815 Hardy, those folks be in a heap of trouble now whether they be drug dealers or not.
Not sure I would want my house put up on youtube, no one needs to know where I live.
Someone(?) said a .357 Mag revolver, not listed in the weapons found. Probably already off for ballistics testing.
Wound analysis of the police officers probably won't ever come out as it would be a HEPA violation for the Doctors to say anything.
Are the holes shown in the house gozinta or gozouta holes?
Google says it would take 20 minutes to go from Harding to Hardy, hour and 45 minutes during rush hour.
Wouldn't that be in a different boots on the ground district?
The street mix up, if it did happen would be about the biggest snafu ever.

If the home owner in this event had taken out ALL the on-scene police, would they have just written it off and moved on?

Two things - HIPAA, not HEPA. HEPA is air filters, HIPAA is medical records. Probably won't hear too much detail on that.
Second thing - Houston is ~700 square miles. Hardy is 77022 and Harding is 77012. Both in Houston. Houston has something like 36 different zipcodes.

It is simple and requires an independent investigation. Either the police didn't get the Intel any reasonable police would have obtained or the police had said reasonable Intel and withheld it from the judge or the judge and the police withheld the reasonable Intel from the affidavit and warrant to approve a no knock warrant. Lack of not properly utilizing reasonable Intel to determine and complement a proper approach resulted in a possibly unnecessary shoot out at the address correctly identified on the affadavit and warrant. The house at that address was identified correctly in detail and there is no mention of a hardened and secure home. Only that it was made of wood. The paperwork allowing for a no knock raid is missing fundamental justification. It is a boiler plate warrant that has most likely worked several times in the past and raises scrutiny to a systemic and improper approach not in compliance with public policy at the very least.

Easy way to dispel any doubts about the raid being at the right or wrong house would be for just one of the witnesses to the 'BUY' being the one that provided the house description in the warrant. Addresses aside, the description of the house is pretty clear.
A "I was at the buy" and "I was at the hit" from someone that isn't an undercover that doesn't mind being identified.
Now, if the description in the warrant came from a Google Earth search maybe then it was in error and the wrong house was hit.
Would they have videoed the 'Buy' ? Just to help ID the 'suspect' ?
The CI search before and after the buy probably had some street boots there. Location of the search is probably recorded.

On 01/08/2019 they got a call from someone saying her daughter was doing drugs in the house and that she went and looked through windows and saw guns.
Shortly after the cops went to check it out but didn't see shit, however, some random fucktard on a phone call was questioned but knew nothing and it was "overheard" that "the police are at the dope house".
In the affidavit, they said on 01/27/2019 a "reliable" CI bought heroin at the house and observed a "semi-auto 9mm" on the suspect. They raided the shit the next day and "found" cocaine, weed, and some guns (after killing the homeowner that wasn't named in the affidavit, the dog, and the wife).
The CI allegedly said there was a LOT of heroin. Where the fuck did it go? He said there was a semi-auto 9mm. Where did that go?

I almost always fall on the side of LEO. God knows they have a hard job, dealing with people in which case 90+% of the time are not having a good day. That said, I'm getting more than little tired of these stories. We had an incident here in Lebanon TN a few years ago where they hit the wrong house and shot the elderly home owner to death when he came out of the bedroom with a gun to see WTF was going on. 5 minute story and it was over.
In my opinion, this stems from the militarization of our police. I understand that there is a bigger threat these days, and that shit like the shootout in Kalifornia with the two bank robbers puts police at a disadvantage, but many of these instances stem from the misuse of military tactics.
Hitting a house and clearing it is a military job. When a unit gets a tip that a house is full of ISIS, weapons cache, etc. they generally put eyes on that target before they hit it. They get a day or two of Intel, so they don't hit the wrong house, end up being used as some asshole as payback for a vendetta. They confirm, send the Intel up, get a thumbs up then execute.
I wonder where the breakdown was, assuming there was one, and it sure smells funny at this point. First place I would look is leadership. Someone up top should have been fact checking this whole scenario before they rolled, while they were enroute and then given the thumbs up. There wasn't Kidnapped kid, A nuclear bomb, or R.Kelly with a rooms full of 15 year old dipshits, etc. What would have been compromised if they sat on the house for a day? They lost some of the drugs? Who cares, Mexico will send more...

I suggest when the ROL as we know it today is gone, there will be more true law dispensed rather quickly. The only thing holding back true justice is present law.
