OK but be warned,I suck at telling Net storys...
Started at a cold 430 am 27 Deg.Found out we Had The Wrong Key to the shooting house when we got on location at 5AM.after 10 minutes working to bust in the shooting house, standing on The latter with Ice, my hands where frozen,After alerting anything within ear distance from cracking, beating and banging.I Had some F words MF words and GD-MF- CS Words,After all that we where in,we Find One Chair,Little fella told me I could have it,I said No its Your Hunt your chair.Now My hands are KILLING ME,I am Hurting worse than I can Remember ever hurting before from the cold.
GunfIghter14e2 Trained me in the past winters Field Runs how to overtake the Cold Needles,But I was cracking up and Forgot My training and went for Hot hands,More Choice words OMG,MF,OMFG....
After 10-20 minutes chase says DAD I am cold. I Loan him my coat,Little while later he ask Dad You cold,I say No(LIER) with quivers in my voice from teeth CHATERING,I ask him You warm,I am OK Dad,Alright we are Hunting now shiver shiver..
45-hour later I see a Spike walking up to our position amd go past us.I have been On My knees for a while now and feeling the Knee pains from being a Spike myself at some Point in my life.the cold is bone chilling and without my coat.another spike,Then a Big old Crafty Doe with a buck behind here in the woods,Think he was a Good one? I Told chace get ready I think there is a shooter comeing out, Then I hear CAOUGH----CAOUGH,Game Over...Chase has been sick for a Month and cant seem to get over it,now He is realy geting sick in the cold weather. so after a few hours freezing,We folded up shop and left.On the way Out we spoted a Doe crossing a Lane 150 yards we stoped and observed a few bucks cross behind the doe,A minute later I told chase I think if we can stand here and be still and silent we will see some shooter(for Him) cross,sure enough I spoted this one crossing and moveing fast I counted measured him in my Binos and said CHACE SHOOTER deer left side 150 yards 8 point Hold Point Blank and send It FAST,He was trained to do what I tought him when I say such words,Buck never took another step fell flawless on his ass then front went down and Lights Out 243 rem700 hand Rolled 100SGK 2900FPS.. Flawless SHOT Placement slightly upper behind Shoulder shot 148 ranged yards..Proud I am...15" INSIDE 8" G3's..
We walked to the Buck and I spoted a Big Buck Told chase DONT MOVE,Kinda hard as he wanted to check his Buck out at his feet,I looked the Big buck Over well up the hill 165 yards,8+ point at least 17" wide and 10"+ tines Fat mass Dark horns,I start to transition from range Finder To rifle. there is a dirt road on the other side where the Buck is standing and A truck was comeing to get us and I couldnt make the shot and be a safe Hunter..watch the Big fella trot off,Guy come up and said You just missed a big deer right in front of you,I say No shit..
Chace was(is)happy,But he saw about a 20" wide 16" G3 Monster along with the land owner,They both freaked out when they saw it,I just heard chase say GoD D%$ DAD ! you see that deer ? I was looking at chase funny from hearing him yell that out and never saw the deer,He went from wanting to stay home and play XBOX to Buck feaver in one day's Hunt,He was geting Upset last year and now this year leting what he thought to be shooter bucks walk, I had to hear an ear Full of why,BUT WHY ! Rules are Rules and this will be a good rule to remember when he looks at the mount..I will never get one for myself now.
