Anybody know of good classes/schools that place a heavy emphasis on figuring out how to shoot at long range (800-1000 yards) in various wind conditions?

Links would be helpful. Thanx much.

Re: Specialized Instruction on Doping Wind?

At the Berger SW Nationals in Phoenix, on Feb. 7th, there will be a one day clinic. Cost is only $15. Here is a link to the match program:

Last year, the clinic consisted of position coaching by Nancy Tompkins, loading and ballistics by Bryan Litz and wind coaching by Mid Tompkins. Can't get much bigger names than those.

While it is only a one day thing and is a group cinic, there is a lot of info there. Can't beat the price either.

Wish I was going to be in Phoenix, hell of a price for good teaching.

It would appear that the clinic is open only to competitors. There's not much info on clinic content. Here's what the program sez:

"Tuesday, 7 February 2012, 9:00 AM
Shooting Clinic
Clinic will include instruction in both class and live fire settings. Lunch will be provided. Please bring all of your equipment, plus 50 rounds to shoot. Show up at the range by 8:30 AM. Instruction will start at 9:00 AM."

Re: Specialized Instruction on Doping Wind?

At Camp Perry, is it limited to competitors with specific gear or can anyone with a rifle take the class?
