Been awhile since I've posted, got a question /problem maybe some one can help.

Springfield M21. I was at a competition awhile ago my custom Rem 7mm snipers rifle's scope a custom built Leupold went off it's rocker for some reason, I guess I bumped it somewhere while stalking, so I used the M21 to finish up with. Last shot at 600 yards the damn trigger housing fell out of the rifle. Now I can't get it to seat correctly. Any ideas??? Better yet anyone know why it fell out??? And yes I have contacted Springfield they state it should go back in without any problems, well they have not been any help.

Thanks tcxd40

Re: Springfield M21

Take a look at the trigger gaurd at the point where it locks into the floor plate.
It may be worn and not properly engaging the mating surfaces.
Also possible is that the trigger gaurd itself is bowed from disassembly, causing improper tension at the locking point.

You'd have to be a bit more specific about not being able to re-insert the trigger group? trigger gaurd?

Re: Springfield M21

What I'm running into is the two locking leavers that secure the trigger assem. into the receiver are not fully locking into place. They don't fully engage the slots inside. It looks like the two tangs for better lack of description are not fully seating at the bottom of the bedding and the tang at the back of the trigger guard will not go into the hole and lock into place either. It continually pops out. With a little bump the trigger guard falls down and the entire assem. is now loose. Not sure if the expansion of the bedding after curing when assembled has anything to do with it.
