I have the AIAW .338 SM with 27" Fluted Barrel..the top of the received has picatinny (not dovetail) already attached...I will mount a Schmidt and Bender 5-25X56 PMII with 34mm tube of course. If I purchase the Spuhr 34mm Rings with 44.4 MOA cant....what height will I need? 1.2 or 1.46? I'm hoping the 1.2 will work...anyone have any insight here? Thanks, Gavin Morrison

Just received my new rings from the fast and efficient people at MH. The product is as expected - very high quality. One minor disappointment however - no leveling wedge. Although it is shown on the website in the pictures with the rings and it is also outlined in the instructions with the rings, it is not included. No big deal. It was just another cool and unique feature. 9.5 out of a possible 10! Still very happy.

When I got my Spuhr mount a year or so back it did have the leveling wedge with it. I did not find it very useful personally. I just used the feeler gauge method and it was quicker and more accurate.

Check that the leveling tool isn't taped to some of the packaging. I too thought I didn't get one, but when I called TNVC and requested they send one, they suggest I double check the packaging first. Sure enough, the leveling tool was there.

so i am a left handed shooter and i want a 45 degree off set red dot. does this mean i would have to mount a non-cant spuhr backwards so that i could get the red dot on the left side? i don't see a way for left handed shooters to get a 45 degree mini red dot mounted. am i missing something?

If your scope is 30mm and 1" height is acceptable, you can use the separate rings. There are even 2 levels built into both ends of the rear ring so you may use it just the same - left handed. It's quite clever.

btw - checked the packing - no leveling kit but again, no big deal - excellent product

No. I'm 34mm. I really want to use a spuhr....it looks great in form and function. I don't realy don't care if I have to use rings or a mount. I just need to figure how to get a 45 degree left side red dot mounted.

I am very sorry if I have missed your email.

Please drop me a new email with your adress and the lenght of your recoillug and I will take care of it.
(yes sorry, there have been some different lengths in use....)
So just unscrew the recoillug and measuere the total lenght of it with a dial caliper.

Sorry about that but leveling tool is not included in the separate rings. That is an additional assesory.
But the levelling tool is included in the unimounts.

Yes you can use a picatinny 0moa mount backwards and then you are loosing the level. But you cannot use TRG, AI and Sauer style mounts backwards.
But apart from that it works great.
If you choses the separate rings, comes in both 30mm and 34mm you can use them backwards as they have one level for each side, so they are truly ambidextreus
Separate rings comes in 1" height only.

Hopefully.
But the scope as far as I know are not in production yet.
We will likely not start a production of 36mm unless we have a substansial order for them.
But never know, its a scope I personally have very high on my "want to have list" and if I get one I have to make a mount for it......

1" isn't enough to cleat a 50mm objective lens of of a larue OBR or similar ar10 with railed forend, is it? i would have to use the mount for a 50mm lens?

Nope, you need a 1,46" mount and not because of the railed forend as much as the cheekweld

Hakan, WHat mount would you reccomend for switching a nightforce F1 3.5-15x50 between a Remington 700 and an AR-10? 3616 or 3601? I would like to see on like the 4602, but for 30mm rings, as I dont really want to runa cantiliver type mount.

Best solution would probably be a Sp3601 where you have a riser on your AR.
1,18" height on an AR10 would be to low and give a very unpleasant cheekweld

Hakan, in your scopemount features PDF, the last page shows some spacer rings. I dont see them anywhere else on your site, but would it be safe to assume that these would allow a 30MM scope to be used with a 34mm mount? If so that would really make it simple for me to find 1 mount to use with both platforms.

Have you considered going to a shorter diameter ring option so those with scopes like the USO T-Pal could be used?

A special run, for a special order is ok.
But not make mounts that not accepts interfaces.

Im using a Nightforce NXS with 100moa of internal elevation.The base on my rifle already has a 20moa cant.What Spuhr mount should I go with the 0moa or the 20moa cant?I am shooting at extreme distances,but my concern is bottoming out getting a 100m zero.Would the 20moa be too much?Thanks!

If you have 100moa of total internal travel then you should have 50+- moa up and down from Mechanical zero. Therefore you should be able to get a (line of sight/ line of bore) zero at 100 yards with a 50 moa base, but if your bullet drops 2 moa from the muzzle at 100 yards then you would only theoretically need 48moa base. But then there's weather effect on the bullet trajectory, So play it safe and get a 45moa base if you want near maximum use of your turrets. 45 down + 50 down is 95 moa of total internal drop compensation with your turrets, then you have your reticle.

If I am wrong someone will correct me...

It really should work great, and if it don't work as it should, there is some of the equipment that not is as it should.....

I have your 30mm 0 mil cantilever mount on my AR. I love it, but it only has ~2" offset. I wish you offered a 3" offset model so that I didn't have to bridge the handguard in order to set the scope forward the way I like it (better for shooting positions). Wouldn't even consider doing that with any other mount, btw.

Yes as the reflex sight goes on a picatinny so that is no problems at all.

I am in the middle of doing a custom build in .308 ( started a build journal thread on the hide about it, My .308 PSR Build Journal) I considered your one piece mount with 0 cant but it got scratched from the build and replaced with the BoBro One Piece mount. Do you have any plans on coming out with a QD model? or maybe a future QD mount accessory? It would definitely replace the BoBro mount that is slotted for my build.

In mostly cases i do however see it as not needed.

The single most important feature a sniping or accurate rifle is The ability to deliver the Bullets where the user wants.
I cannot see how that feature is enhanced by a removable system that can be reinstalled with a slight missaligment......

That's great to know and Thank You !, I'd definitely purchase a set of rings for my Sako AV action 300 Win Mag when they are made available . I plan on a new scope soon and I'm considering the Steiner 5X25 Military or the Kahles 624i , hopefully your product will work with Scopes with a tube diameter greater than 30mm as for now that is my only option unless I also purchase a Picatinny rail from Sako or IOR .
Let me know if you can when they become available and I'll keep hounding the local distributors about their arrival if you cannot shoot a pm .

On a bolt rifle, is there any pros / cons to getting Spuhr rings vs uni-mount? Obviously I see the uni-mount being better if you plan to swap scopes a lot, but it turns of permanent placement anything else?

I need to know what you would recommend for a TRG-22 using a Leupold Mark 4 ER/T scope with a 50mm Obj and 30mm tube. I want to use the integral 17mm rail not the picatinny. So I am having a hard time picking between the ST3701 or the ST3702 or the ST3601 or the ST3602. 1000 yrds is the max I want to try with this rifle so your suggestion is appreciated.
