All,
I was hoping I might garner some of you all's insight and experience on this one.
Recently, I allowed someone to use a rifle I have that is outfitted with a SWFA SS 10x42M sidefocus scope. At any rate, a few months went by, before I took that particular rig out again, and upon doing so, was shooting groups all over the place. As I looked through the scope, I picked up that the reticle was wandering all over the place as I moved my head. So, I went to set the parallax/side focus to the correct setting and noticed someone had dorked with the settings. I think the person loosened up the knob/removed the knob "to tweak the parallax" and threw the whole thing out of whack.
Does anyone know the process of setting the damned thing back to factory settings? I think I may have it close, after rotating the peg a few times till it flipped to what seemed close (at least the wobble is smaller has I move my head around on a KD target to see if the reticle is shifting).
Anyone know if there is a count off process? Something like, "Rotate it this many times, til it stops, then count this many revolutions to get it back to factory close settings"?
Appreciate any help (if need be I'll contact SWFA, but wanted to check if anyone knew before I bothered them). I guess I forgot that lessen of "Never let anyone mess with the dope on your weapon". Grrrr....
