Anyone use their brass? Im lookin for 260RP brass but as we all know its not out there. So im using 243 brass but it dont seem to shoot as good compare to the 260RP brass. So if any has used and or compare the two i need info.

I don't reload, but I shoot southwest ammunition's .260 remington ammo, which is loaded with SSA brass. Shoots about 3/4 moa out of my Tikka T3 Sporter, with the occasional group approaching 1/2 moa . I'm a noob, and thats about the best I've ever shot :).

Nosler purchased SSA last June. A quick search shows that SSA has a decent reputation for consistent case capacity and uniformity. I don't reload yet, so haven't tried to weigh or measure any of them, but I like the performance I'm getting from the SWA loaded SSA brass.

I came across that brass from a batch of once fired southwest ammo in a .260. The brass was junked after one firing and the overall quality was obviously lacking. I would go with something else.

    Well, that's odd...

As mentioned, I'm not rolling my own yet, but I have sent used .260 SSA brass back to SWA and had them reload them. They seem to shoot as well and look as good as the original un-fired cases did. I track each reload so that I know how many times each batch has been fired, so I guess I'll find out eventually.

I know their 6.8SPC brass is some of the best out there. Like mentioned Nosler bought them out recently but I think that'll be a great move for them.. good production facilities I'm sure..

I've been using both SSA and Lapua for my 260. When the SSA was new I could feel the primer pockets were not consistent. I've only got three loads on the brass and it is holding up, but like others above stated, the primer pockets are loose.
