Re: Stainless or cro-molly action?
It really depends on the actual end use of the rifle. If you are building a hunting rifle for all weather, high country, alaska, etc., Stainless all the way. Though not totally rust resistant it sure beats CM and if cera-coated is nearly impervious to weather. In a match situation if it's correctly maintained and lubed, cleaned regularly, the CM or the stainless will both work. It would take an awful lot of shooting to say that one was actually more economical and or better than the other.
