I think i have decided on a balistic advantage barrel...

l will go with a hanson profile with the pinned gas block. Now the next question is do i go with the stainless 8 twist 223 wylde or the 7 twist cromolly nato chamber?

Both have a 1 moa guarantee. The crome molly is 10 bucks cheaper.

My purpose is Coyote and woodchucks out to a few hundred yards with handloads. Also plan to shoot bulk ammo at the range and maybe a class at some point.

What do you guys think? Probably not enough difference to say so just want some opinions

Thanks guys

Chrome moly is harder, lasts longer, and is more apt to take abuse from too many shot strings making it crazy hot. Stainless is more about accuracy. Not as tolerant to heat and won't get as many rounds down the tube in total but it's all about accuracy. There's your difference.

What Citrus said.

with that barrel, I would opt for Chrome-Moly, 1/7 or 1/8 doesn't much matter. I do not know this barrel. I know they make barrels, and I have shot many, just not this one, so that means I don't know, but from the knowledge I do have, they are not on my short-list of SS barrel makers. Maybe they should be. The higher the grain bullet and the longer the barrel and the further the distance, the higher twist I would use (twist be the inverse of the 1/7. or 1/8, with 1/7 being higher twist. You said a "few hundred yards" and maybe hitting Coyotes. This is not long range, so 1/8 is fine, and go with the maximum muzzle energy.
