Mike,
My magazine offer still stands - if you would like I will loan you an aftermarket 5-round magazine from a Kimber Model 82C. These magazines are in current production so no availability problem, or you could also produce your own.
These magazines would most likely fit flush with the bottom of a M700 stock, or could be concealed by factory BDL floorplate. Obviously, I'd have to send you one to check for compatability and function with the 605. 10-round magazines are also available but won't fit flush or be concealed by the floorplate door.
Personally, I would love to have a DBM system like this and would be first in line for one, but I may be in to minority. I'll get some magazine photos up later.

I am with Keith on the mag issue. Yes Ruger mags are plentiful, cheap, and function fine, but it does not simulate the aics style mag system enough for my liking. I would like to see a stackd round DBM that would work with a standard BDL inlet or even a Badger inlet. Maybe a company like black dog machine could do a acis style .22lr mag that would work with the Rem 605 and really take this trainer to the next level. I am aware that this would push the rem style action back but how sweet would it be if people could exactly match the .22 trainer to the big boy. OK, so that might be a pipe dream, but I could really see that platform taking off.
Anyone else like this idea or does the Ruger mags satisfy the majority?
