What a great way to disseminate the info and pictures. </div></div>

That's a good idea and I always try to take time to meet with as many guys as I can when I travel. If you want, we can keep in touch and I'll let you know what the schedule is if you want to head up assembling anyone interested in a show and tell. I'll have at least two complete barreled actions (including trigger, bottom metal and magazine) for the Model 323 with me. I won't have them in stocks yet, but everyone will be able to see the finished barreled actions and one of them will be integrally suppressed.

DM,
I do have an update to post, but no pictures quite yet....I'm still getting the barreled actions squared away and the developments as of yesterday have gone a long way to get the Model 323 into full production. I should be ready to post an update sometime over the weekend....

Re: Stepping Up To the Plate....UPDATE as of 3-17-10

Mike, I saw I missed your call yesterday, so I'll call you back sometime this weekend before I head out to Scottsdale next week to spend a few days in the desert with Dillon Aero.

The pleasure was mine and I'll be in touch as things continue to unfold....I'm a bit late getting a rimfire update posted, but I have to finish a couple projects so everything in the update is accurate....Thanks again....

The course was awesome; I won't hijack your thread, so here's a link to a few photos and short videos from the class:

Re: Stepping Up To the Plate....UPDATE as of 3-17-

Detailed pics of action and bolt, as well as dimensions would be great. I am looking more for the technical aspects of these receivers. Can one assume a 40x clone in terms of the boltface, breech, firing pin and its location, etc.? How about bolt diameter??? standard size???, dual extractors??? or not. Will these receivers all be repeaters or will a solid bottom be available? Loading port standard size, or appropriately reduced for the RF sized round?
What reamer will you use? Designed for specific ammo, or just match ammo, in general? 16 twist on the bbl?
These are some of the things I am looking for, as well as others.

I don't intend to be a PITA and please pardon if these Q's have been answered else-where. If that is the case, I have not seen the info.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
Pictures are forthcoming and all of the Model 323 rifles will be repeaters. The Model 323 doesn't share much in common with the 40X, but the Underground Skunkworks Model 605 does. A lot of the other specs you're looking for are listed on my first post on the first page. Feel free to call me and we can discuss the rest offline....Thanks Jim....

Re: Stepping Up To the Plate....UPDATE as of 3-17-

This is exciting stuff! One question, if I buy another rimfire it will probably be a .22 WMR. With what ammo are you guaranteeing .5 MOA for the .22 WMR version? I am not aware of any match .22 WMR ammo.

JET,
I'll be arriving in KC on Sunday (6-13) to meet with Tom. I'll be available if you want to get a few guys assembled to take a look at the completed barreled actions for the Model 323. Thanks and let me know....

As a matter of fact, the photos of the Model 323 barreled action will be posted tonight. I'll be cutting and crowning barrels today and get the pictures snapped....Standby....

Here are the proto pics of the Model 323....A few changes are being made to the production version, such as a new safety lever that I made today and some other very small changes that aren't really noteworthy. The accuracy tests have been completed (in a cobbled together mondo wooden stock) and it is performing well within what I want. The package has proven to be light and handy and the integrally suppressed rifles will be ready soon.

I head out on Sunday to KC to meet with Tom and get the stock squared away. As I've mentioned before, it will be a scaled down version of the MCS-T.

Re: Stepping Up To the Plate....UPDATE as of 3-17-10

What kind of pressures can that action take? If I had the $$ (and I don't, so think of this as a pipe dream) I think a 22 mag sized bolt gun in 5.7x28 would rock

The Model 323 Magnum action can handle the 5.7X28 without a problem. I currently (and literally) have 14 projects going on that are all running parallel, so when I clear a few of them I'm pretty interested in working on a 5.7 X 28 version....More to follow on this....
