Looking for a scope for my .308 AR. Have it narrowed down between Strike Eagle 1-8 or Viper PST Gen II 1-6 (this week at least).

I generally won't be shooting much past 300 yards, fwiw.

Pro's/con's of each?

Like what was mentioned earlier, it's not even close at all. If you can spring for the PST Gen II which I consider the 3/4 Razor Gen II for practically half the price than I'd do so. The Burris RT-6 is also better overall at the SE price point. Let me know if we can help you out.

PST for sure. Having used both, the PST quality is leagues ahead of the strike eagles. It shows in the price, but is worth it.

I'm a big fan of my PST Gen II 1-6. I've been using it for 3 Gun and mulitgun matches for over a year and it's great. I haven't seen the SE 1-8, but in the matches I shoot (usually out to 150 but up to 350 yds) it's only rarely that more magnification would have been nice.
