Stupid Questions for PVA barrel options

Guys,

Might be picking up a few barrels for a new build here and just have some simple stupid questions I need some answers to make sure I’m selecting the correct options. I’m doing a 6mm (for prs comps) and a 223(for fun, general shooting etc) barrel - have questions on threading, barrel bore size and contour.

-6mm creedmoor - “Barrel Bore Size” : I’m assuming this should be the “6mm/.243 (uses .237 bore)” option? Barrel length: 24” and threads should be 5/8-24 I believe? Should I just go with medium Palma?

-223 - ”Barrel Bore Size” : 22 centerfire. Barrel length: 24” and threads should be 1/2-28 I believe? Should I go With a heavier barrel profile for this one like a heavy Palma or just stick to medium?

See any issues? What would you change?

I’d run 5/8x24 on both. Brakes and cans will swap easier.

I'd do heavy Palma on the 6mm for competition the weight is a good thing. I'd medium Palma on the .223 for a little less weight or if you want it to be identical to your 6mm barrel then just do both in the same contour.

Thanks! Do you know if I will have any issue running a heavy palma in an MPA comp chassis?

You will not have issues with that chassis.

MPA can accept up to a 1.250 straight profile. You will be fine with a Heavy Palma.
