In the Nightmares of Ghogs
Virginia played better in my opinion and did a good job containing with few mistakes. However, Michigan did make the most out of the
the mistakes they could.
.
Glad to see Hoke do so well in his first year, hopefully this will put the maize and blue back where they had been. Great improvement by Gibbons from last year smashing that pig skin through the uprights and sealing the game!
.
GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.
PS: Virginia's Coale is a heck of player with some heart "white lightning" had some great efforts but unfortnately for him his kicker sucked when he needed him most.

Re: Cotton...Congrats Wolverines!!

Yea, another one lost by the kicker. remember when the Jets and Broadway Joe Namath beat the Colts in the Superbowl mostly because of the kicking of Jim Turner.

If a team has a guy that can put it thourgh the uprights every time they cross the 35 they should win every game.

Re: Cotton...Congrats Wolverines!!

Well I have to tell you it was really nice to see a Bowl game that both teams seemed to have some understanding what the word "defense" means.

My only problem is that Va Tech is one of the first schools to come down here that couldn't sell all there tickets. We haven't had a Sugar Bowl in many years that there were any empty seats, lol

Sorry but I like schools that pack the house and bring plenty of folk down here to party and eat our food!!!!

You Michigan folks did a good job filling your quota and from what I understand having fun in the Crescent City!!

Re: Cotton...Congrats Wolverines!!

Really surprised on two things:

1) That it was even close. Not to take away from Michigan, but they got out-played. Hokies made too many mistakes, on the field and on the sideline and failed to put Michigan away.

2) To hear Virginia Tech did not travel well. The Hokie Nation is known for bringing tons of fans, which is part of the reason Tech was invited to begin with.

Bonus) That was Tech's 3rd string kicker. Hitting 4 of 5 was impressive, too bad he pushed that last one.
