    Hello Fellas,

    Between work, family and the general state of things I’m limited to being able to randomly sneak off to some local ranges where I’m typically able to shoot up to 300 yds without being accompanied by a member etc. These ranges are typically paper target only for me as well. I’m achieving some modicum of success in developing hand loads for my rifles and my groupings are slowly improving. I’d like to focus on training that is more applicable to precision rifles rather than solely shooting groups. Any suggestions or links to templates would be greatly appreciated.

    Here are some links to drill targets. Basically dot drills. You can practice shooting from alternative positions at shorter ranges. Try to shoot groups but make each shot from a different position. There's plenty you can do on paper at shorter ranges and actually helps in a way because it takes dope, wind, and environmental factors out of the equation.

    You can try a modified installation/post/division match format. If you use a modified CISM international military format substitute kneeling for sitting.

    Use the Army EIC target (approximately 20 x 40 inches):

    10 rounds standing at 100 yards, two minutes with reload (five shots and five shot for a bolt action);
    10 rounds sitting at 200 yards, a two-shot mag and an eight-shot mag in 60 seconds (two five-shot mags for a bolt action);
    10 rounds from standing, firing in prone at 300, 2-shot and 8-shot mags in 70 seconds (two five-shot mags for a bolt action).

    150 - 30X possible score.
