Nothing wrong with that. she looks more capable than the other two and likely to be able to hold her own.
Dumb and good looking only goes so far.
Thank you for answering his questions for me. The facts are irrefutable. Ten years ago the big gun stores had very few long range rifles. Now there is factory chassis rifles galore and affordable adjustable stock options like the Bergara Hmr everywhere. Why would the manufacturers offer these rifles if there was no demand? Why are long high bc bullets being made? Why are there long range hunting and shooting forums? Why do the hunting and shooting mags continually have articles and advertisements geared towards long range? Why do you even need me to provide you with evidence?
I joined this forum to learn and share knowledge about something we all love. I won't always agree with everyone and they won't always agree with me. But let's remember that its easier to type criticism than tell someone face to face. I guarantee that if you showed up out at my private range I would treat you right.
But maybe this is wasted on you. Maybe you can only feel ok about yourself if you can run others down...if so I feel sorry for you and can tell you that it's not to late to reach out for help.
Dr. Norman V Peale has an excellent book. The power of positive thinking.
Cheerio
I like you. You remind me of the mongoloid kid back in elementary school. When the teacher made fun of him he would laugh with all the other kids. Then when he realized they were laughing at him he would lash out at anyone and everyone...hey!...is it you? Hey Dilbert! Did you finally learn how to read and type? Big boy! You are a success!Stop saying dumb fucking shit and no one will pile on you. You created this bullshit troll thread to rile people up, and then cry like a little bitch when you get the response you elicited.
90% of the dribble you post is unsubstantiated bullshit. And instead of cutting bait you double down with some more retardation.
Here is a dose of reality for you... technology changes, guns are cheaper and more plentiful than ever. There have ALWAYS been long range shooters and disciplines. The cost of entry was just higher. Better tech = cheaper and better products. There were still legions of bubbas shooting long range with their Rem 700 PSS/R5 & Savages topped with super snipers 10-20 years ago.
There was much less gun company competition 20 years ago. They used to dictate what products were made with little user input. Fucktards like Jim Zumbo and other cocksucking fudds were who they listened to. Hell Remington had the winner in their pocket (.260REM ) and did absolutely nothing with it. We could have had factory .260's in something other than a model 7 twenty years ago if they weren't so fucking dumb. Today there are 10 fold the number of companies all competing using latest CAD/CNC tech , which forces them to make what people want. Its not rocket surgery.
And who the fuck reads hunting and shooting mags? Fucking fluff piece bullshit articles written by room temp IQ shitbags who are nothing but shills and trying to score free/cheap shit. The fact you latch onto that bullshit just tells me you have a lack of intelligence and reasoning skills. So before you make some other dumbass brain dead thread, come back and read this. Might save you some headaches if you can't handle the criticism.
Shit I thought she looked pretty good! ?????
My beaver hunts are better...Oh, you want to hear MY deer hunting stories!

It depends... ?Hey OP? What do you bench press? Just curious...
I prefer the term bi-polar.Again.....
I had no idea that this level of autism was achievable.
So we are at a turning point in the shooting world. Everyone and their dog has a long range precision rig and can spout knowledge on drop, drift, ballistics, ectera...
For myself I am getting burnt out on all the chatter... I realize the market thrives on newcomers but seriously...just give me my .243 and a weekend mouth calling coyotes and I'm good. The more time I spend online and the less I spend hunting the worse I get at instinctive shooting in hunting scenarios.
You can't learn everything at a range behind a long range rig, shooting paper. Let's get out there and do it folks!
Pretty soon the wannabes will be wanting to be something else, and the industry will droop again. I say...teach a kid to hunt and he will shoot for a lifetime. Teach a kid to shoot and he will move on to the next thing. Reason is that to hunt successfully you need to be a good shooter. To be a good shooter is the end of the line. The beginning is the end.
I was with you until you said seamanship
I was with you until you said seamanship
Dangit!
I didn't see your correction post until after I posted.
My dad always said "Great minds run in channels"
My mom corrected that to " Fools think alike".
I was never sure if she was insulting me, or dad.
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. In order to be a well rounded, competent human being you should possess certain skills.
You should know how to cook, how to perform personal hygiene, build an item from wood, seek shelter, first aid, math, verbally or in writing make and defend an argument, know something about space, aviation, seamanship and various other subjects, start a fire, catch a fish, as well you should be able to shoot a gun for whatever purpose you find yourself in need of at the time.
Its all good and its all necessary.
If a placebo works is it still just a placebo? Life is how a man perceives it. Attitude is all in the mind. The mind is powerful.Reading a book on how to think positively is a placebo effect. You’re not anymore positive, you’ve just tricked your brain and wasted money on a worthless book.
Yes it is. Snake oil has burned many a man and his wallet. But, whatever works for you.If a placebo works is it still just a placebo? Life is how a man perceives it. Attitude is all in the mind. The mind is powerful.
I cant agree with you on this one.
Everyone keeps saying “20 years ago” like there was no long range shooting interest then. Wasn’t SH developed about 20 years ago because of the mass interest in lrs ?
Hi,
Just might be the longest running "Fad" in history...been around long before Al iG. invented the internet which might be responsible for global warming.....

Agreed if anything we are just "rediscovering" what came before.
Look at the sights on a Springfield 03 and the thought/ballistics that went into building it.
There are like 5 different sighting possibilities and potential range markings out to 2700 yards if I remember correctly. Spin drift is even accounted for.
Being frugal back than I dont think they ever considered being limited by "effective range" everything was thought out and calculated to "max range".
Now we enjoy advances in technology but we can be lazy in not actually knowing theory. With less technology they really had to know theory.
I call Bullshit on the first part of your screed..I worked selling guns in one of the largest retail gun/hunting stores in 2001 in Iowa (Iowa, where you can't hunt deer with a rifle). Besides the old standby long range rifles chambered in 264WM, 7mm RM, 338WM and 300WM all over the store - we had the "new" at the time line of Remington Ultra Mags and Winchester Short Mags. Your "very few long range hunting rifles" accounted for approx half of our rifle inventory.Thank you for answering his questions for me. More like, they had no concept of what the modern battle field would be like and designed a sight that would win medals on a square range, but sucked in the trenches of WWI. And, those 2700y “volley sights” were not for putting combat effective hits on man sized targets, but for large units to lob rounds en mass.
Now, the sights on the garand- on the other hand- are a masterpiece...
The more time I spend online and the less I spend hunting the worse I get at instinctive shooting in hunting scenarios.
I realized long ago that there are persons that are mentally restricted so that they cannot understand what people are saying. Whether out loud or not. I was granted the dubious gift of being able to hear what people aren't saying. Therefore I answer as such. I challenge you to take anything I have said and try to derive a negative message from it...as far as complaining you simply need to dive a little more into the human psyche to understand what I was getting at. I can't change every babies diaper. My personal fav of OP
And yet you are on here complaining![]()
To me instinctive shooting means adaptation to new techniques and/or equipment... so I am not limited by tradition or mental constraints.Do you hunt with traditional weapons? Just curious as you used the term instinctive shooting... which looks a bit out of place considering what this forum is about.
This isn't the first time I've been told this...sorry folks...Hey brother, sometimes you don't make the point you think you're making. Obviously, your post wasn't received well, by the vast majority of folks here. Perhaps what you wanted to convey was a bit obscure. I drink a lot, so people have to be clear with me. I've told many an officer to use small words that mean more and less sports analogies. Might want to just clarify in a, "My bad" kind of way and then just let this thread sink into oblivion.
