Suppressors Suppressor threads for .338 Magnum

Ok guys, I'm gathering parts for my first suppressed rifle build, and now ordering a TBAC 338-P1, and am wondering which threads I should choose. Barrel muzzle diameter will be about .900 before threading, so was assuming 3/4" but do I order 3/4-24 thread, or 3/4-28? Is there a benefit to the finer threads?

Thanks guys, I'm very much new to this suppressor stuff, and don't want to screw up a $7000 build due to my ignorance.

You can do either. I personally prefer a little coarser thread, but I am used to the M18x1.5 AI threads (equivalent to about 17 TPI).

Manufacturers ship rifles in 3/4-20, 24, and 28. It's really up to you.

Chad Dixon of Longrifles Inc. Will be the rifle manufacturer, and I'm guessing he can cut any thread pitch he wants. Maybe it doesn't matter too much which I choose.

Big threads don't do much good if there isn't much shoulder.

If the barrel was thicker than .900" I'd for sure vote a 3/4 thread. But with .900" to work with I vote 5/8x24.

3/4 x 24 or 7/8 x 24 if you can get that. Bomb proof and less chance of cross threading or thread chipping. .

The desert tactical's are all 3/4-24 and so are a few others I've seen out there. Its the thread I use for all the cans in this size range too. The 3/4-24 is extra fine thread, the 28 is extra extra fine and I can't see much reason for going that far. I'd stick with the 24 thread as finer won't gain you anything and its more standard.
