I recently joined the ranks of suppressor owners with a SiCo Omega 30 cal. It's primary use is on my 6.5 Creedmoor and the first trip to the range was a big success. For the time I'm going with a direct thread attachment method.
I'd also like to suppress my 223 Rem varmint rifle. I know the best solution would be to thread the muzzle to 1/2-28 and get another suppressor. But from a cost and time perspective that's just not in the cards for now. So how about an adapter for 1/2-28 to 5/8-24 and then be able to use my Omega on the 223? Has anyone used this method to put a suppressor on a .22 cal rifle? Brownells carries a couple of models and the one from Trousa for $59 looks like a quality piece. Anyone have a recommendation?
And what about getting an adapter for my AR? It's muzzle is already threaded. Would I see some benefit using the Omega on it?
Thanks in advance.
