That a good one then?I run suppressed 99% of the time. A V3 is no issue on my Ultra 7 or Harvester 300.
It costs almost double but if its worth it. Thunderbeast is titaniumThe Harvester is a good can, but it's hard to clean because you can't use CLR or anything harmful to aluminum. I sent mine back to be re-cored because it was 6 ounces heavier than new. I do like the Thunder Beast better.
Thunder Beast Ultra 9 & 22 takedown mainly but I have used it on many cans with no issues. Thanks guys. What suppressors you run?
YesMaybe been talked about i didnt even search it much because i dont even have a suppressor yet but looking at buying one. So can i use this magneto with a suppressor?
From their site the sporter model can not be used with a suppressor. I think that is more due to lack of strap length though. Willing to hear what others say. What about using the Sporter model?
Thanks.
Right, that is what I had wondered. Is it just that that model was made without a long enough strap and or you would need to rig a thinner spacer or something to get it to work and that would be the only difference rather having to go and buy the other model. From their site the sporter model can not be used with a suppressor. The Gen 2 Ultra 9 and Ultra 7 are higher quality and performance than the Omega 300 in my opinion. What is the feeling on the silencerCo omega 300? Does that compare well with thunderbeast ultra 9 or 7
So I watched a video and the sporter you have to physically cut away plastic to get correct clearance with a suppressor or it sits too far away and won’t registerRight, that is what I had wondered. did you have to do any modifications to the strap or spacers? Thanks!I’ve been using my MS sporter with my cans for years with no issues. Surefire 762RC-2, Surefire 300SPS, Dead Air Mask, SiCo Omega
I love my omegas, no issues with em. I use the 419 mounting system so if I had a thunder beast instead I’d still be using the same mounts. What is the feeling on the silencerCo omega 300? Does that compare well with thunderbeast ultra 9 or 7
Half tempted to try the omega price wise. I just need top precision from canI love my omegas, no issues with em. I use the 419 mounting system so if I had a thunder beast instead I’d still be using the same mounts.
For comps I use the anchor brake and for lighter hunting I use the titanium end cap.Half tempted to try the omega price wise. I just need top precision from can
Have you ever compared them to the ultra 9 or 7For comps I use the anchor brake and for lighter hunting I use the titanium end cap.

Not on the same rifle. Ive shot next to them on a bolt guns and the thunderbeast may be a hair quieter on a sound meter but my hearing already isn’t great so I’m not the best judge, the both sound nice and I can’t tell a difference.Have you ever compared them to the ultra 9 or 7
Yeah im having a hard time deciding thought the ultra 9 then my brain is turning. I dont know enough about them. Is it just based on sound and recoil but my question are they all equal to accuracyNot on the same rifle. On a bolt I expect the tb 7 will be quieter than the omega. On an ar I expect the omega to be better with less back pressure.
I’d expect the 9 to be quieter regardless just due to internal volume but the 7 and the omega are pretty damn close. For years they have been the front runners but there’s also lots of new stuff. Doesn’t mean they are obsolete though.
I’d say they are. Of course that’s open to disagreement from others experiences but I have no qualms with mine. Shot this in a rough ocw on a new barrel as I was typing at the range.Yeah im having a hard time deciding thought the ultra 9 then my brain is turning. I dont know enough about them. Nice front cap on the right. For comps I use the anchor brake and for lighter hunting I use the titanium end cap.
I got them for 809 and 600 so I’m hard pressed to say I could have found a better value. And I don’t think a thunderbeast would be any more accurate on a wide host of rifles. Maybe in certain situations but as a whole if it’s mounted straight and right itll perform well.

I got one of the cap armory mega clearance cans from some other distributor who went out of business that came without accessories but luckily at the same exact time you released those. Ive been very pleased with it.Nice front cap on the right.![]()
WOW. that was a steal for the lab radar. I would definitely go that route if I saw that deal.I use a magneto speed sporter on an omega and it will mis a shot now and then or show an error. If I lose the spacer it works every time. I usually shoot five shot strings and I've never melted anything.
Just picked up a gently used labradar for $250 so I doubt I'll use the magneto speed for suppressors anymore.
Interesting and creative but I think I'm going to go with getting the V3 and less components to start and then just work on building up my component supplyI haven't tried this so don't shoot the messenger.YMMV
Saw several post saying it was a cheap fix and worked for them on the sporter.
Just need to make sure your spacing is correct.

Just switched from the picatinny, non-suppressed, to suppressed mounting on the V3. My only issue has been with subsonics. They usually don't register with the V3. Any tips with subs?
Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity in the control unit???
Also, obviously you will still want to maintain a fairly small gap between the bore line and the magneto bayonet.
Mmmmm, it's a bit strange.I have. Granted this was when I was mounting it on the picatinny rail and I don't think it was close enough. It's a perfect distance when mounted on a POF 308 hand guard as well as a CODA composite hand guard but not on the Smoke composite hand guard on my 300 blackout. I'd turn up the sensitivity in small increments but could never get it to read reliably with subs. Supers were fine at a normal sensitivity (4 if I remember correctly). This was without the silencer attached.
I can get the gap down to where it should be on the 300 Blackout by mounting it on the silencer which is one of the reasons why I switched plus I just wanted the velocity data, silencer included.
I've only mounted it on the silencer one time, last time out, and I was only testing a supersonic load, no subs. I'll have to go back and test it again with subs and see if it works. Just strange it'll work with supers no problem.
