So i made up my mind about a year or so ago to only use CCI 450 primers in everything. just am tired of all the drama and bullshit with supply chain scam and trying different primers all the time. So I bought a bunch of 450 and called it a day. Now that I am down below 5K in primers and was going to make some blasting AR 15 loads and did not want to waste my .12 CCI I decided to try a few cheaper .06 primers for just blasting ammo.
So I bought some Ginex for .06 shipped to my door. I have an accurate 68 grain load with 26.5 grains of varget that I have used for quite a few years so I decide to test them out in that load first as it is a known load to me. My load with CCI primers goes 2900 fps from a 20 inch barrel has an SD of ten and no pressure signs at all. I tried the same load with the new primers and was amazed that the SD was the same accuracy for both loads the same 3/4 moa and no pressure signs. The thing that surprised me was that the velocity was 2940 with the new primers. I couldn't believe it so I tested it again 2 more times with everything Identical except the primers. So so far so good I guess. has anyone else used these things yet with similar results I wonder.
