Just scored a really sweet Savage mod 23A 22LR with detachable mag.The metal is factory original finish and almost no wear,turning that nice plum color,no pits or scratches,the mag is tiny but perfect(Tin,maybe?).I have to check the SN,but I think it was built around 1917,it's the same as a NRA Match only with leaf sights.only problem is that the stock was refinished,judging from the metal,it probably didn't need to be refinished,should be a nice little orchard gun for varmints.

I'll get one up,left my camera on the dry side,going back over Friday night.Did a little research and found out the mags are almost impossible to find in good shape,the one I got is perfect,I guess un-refinished stocks in good shape are hard to come by also.
