I don't have any experience with either of these two scopes, but I will do my best to accurately pass on what I've heard. The SWFA is a real bargain for what you get. They track well and the glass clarity is exceptional for the price. If you can live with the Mil-Quad reticle then this is probably the way to go. Vortex also makes a nice scope with a bulletproof warranty. I have read claims that the glass on the 4-16 is not as clear as the 6-24. I would recommend that you look at Bushnell if you already haven't. I recently bought a 3-12 Elite Tactical and so far I like it a lot. The glass is great, turrets are positive, but not audible, and the G2DMR is arguably the best reticle available in its price range.
