How long has it been??????

I recently received my first build since the last time I had Gray build a 7 SAUM AI in 2017. Gray builds hammers. He is an exceptional gunsmith.

I took it to the range for a quick zero with Hornady factory ammo (147g ELD Match). I'll cut to the chase, but stay tuned for more. This was the first 5 shot group out the gate.

Specs:
American Rifle Company Coupe De Grace
PROOF 24" Sendero 1:7.5
TBAC CB
TBAC Ultra 7
Manners LRH in GAP Camo
Trigger Tech Diamond Pro Curve
Pure Precision M5 (included with the LRH bought from The Battalion)
Arken SH-4J (Poor Man's scope for now).

I spent a late afternoon at the ranch with friends. One of my friends has a 600 yard range with multiple steel targets. He also has a 1K yard range on the other side of the property.

One friend in particular was itching to shoot the 6.5 PRC. He is an experienced hunter and shooter, so I gave him the honor of confirming zero at 100 yards and going straight to 400 yards, 600 yards and 1K yards. It was also the perfect opportunity to start collecting DOPE. After all, I built it as a lightweight hunting rifle. Up to today, it had only been fired 18 times during the scope zeroing and barrel break-in process two days ago.

Below is my friend's first 5 shot group from 100 yards. We used Hornady 147g ELD MATCH ammo and the XERO chronograph data in conjunction with the Geo Ballistics app and his Kestrel. To say he was stoked about his first ever "tight group" is an understatement. He didn't miss a single shot. The only group we didn't picture was the one from 1K yards.

The SCR 6.5 PRC hammers considering that it has only been shot with factory ammo. It is stupid accurate. I don't see a need to reload for it.
