T1x Barrel Length

I am about to buy a T1x 22LR as a trainer for my CTR, the 16" is easy to find, the 20" is a bit harder. I plan on putting it in a KRG chassis. Is the 16" too short? Or can it be used as well

I have both. The 20” is more forgiving. They shoot equal with ammo each likes. I’ve shot groups in the high teens with both at 50 yards

I wanted a 16” with the intentions of putting a suppressor on it. Haven’t done that yet, BUT, when I bought mine (Adel Outfitters had both) the 20” seemed to balance way better, and after having a Ruger American 16”, I was looking for a bit more heft (the 16” Tikka did feel lighter than the 20”).

I figured if I do get a .22 Suppressor (and I’m dumb for not already having done that), I can trade rifles, trade barrels, get mine chopped, or just deal with an extra 4”.

Honestly, I think it’s hard to screw up either way.

I ended up getting a 16" locally from a store that I do business with all the time. Got it for 529.00 so I am happy with that. I have two 22 cans, and will say that I think they are the most fun of the cans I have or have messed with. Highly recommend the AAC Element II
