Have a question for you guys/gals that reload. Is a 3 feet long and 2 feet wide bench large enough for simple reloading?

I don't want to put my reloading stuff on my main work bench because I want to mount the press and other items on the table and not worry about them being in the way with I do other stuff on the bench. So across the room I have a space for a 3'x2' table. I'm wondering is this large enough for one person to start reloading on with a simple single stage press (Lee)? I have Lee Precision II also but don't think this will be used as much.

Cant you just, you know, use your existng bench and just take the press off when youre not using it?

I tapped my coffee table which is about 3'x2', plenty large for me when in use. If its not in use I move the equipment to a storage cabinet and have a clean table. Press is bolted on with 4 bolts and 4 wing nuts, takes 30 seconds to clear it off.

Where's there's a will there's a way! However, I have 3 tables and always looking for more room. That size you are looking at would probably be fine if you use it for your charged cases and bullets only.

That could work but I set it up and leave it and have a dedicated place to reload.

I fully understand that work benches or any flat area really get covered quickly. I would like to have a larger bench but I'm thinking I keep it small and a dedicated area I'm less likely to mess up or have stuff on the table while I work.

Suggestion: Mark off that 2x3 space on the floor. Then put the stuff you want to use to do your reloading there and see. I have a 2x4 foot bench. Wish it was 3x6. :) lg
