My 66 weighs 18.5 with a bipod so subtract a few off thatWhat's the typical weight of a X-ray 51?
Depends on barrel length. What's the typical weight of a X-ray 51?
Depends on barrel length.
Mine with a 22” barrel, brake with a S&B PMII and a Harris SBR-M is 17 lbs.
Must have been a truck axle of a barrel hahaDid some platforms for a Special Alphabet Agency back around 1997 I think a total of 14 or 15. The weapon systems were 23 pounds and they were in 300 Win Mag they were definitely on the heavy side lol

About the size of Big Mike Robinson's pipe you know Barry's husband...Must have been a truck axle of a barrel haha
Shoots better than me …fucker ..lolI had some fun at the range yesterday... I took a friend of mine who has never shot a precision rifle before to the range. I went over the fundamentals, and helped him build a good shooting position. He then proceeded to shoot a spent 9mm casing at 100 yards on the first shot with my 300 Win Mag X-Ray 66. I've never seen someone sooo excited!

Anyone know what Mike uses to put the brakes on rifles? Any thread locker? I need to get it off so I can shoot it suppressed later. Got a call into Mike on this but he may be busy
I'm not sure, but have you tried removing it?
If it's tight you could always put something like a wooden dowel between the ports as a lever and turn it. Shouldn't hurt a thing and I would be surprised if you couldn't remove it this way.
Yes, I have tried. I've done many brake removals and installs. No flats for a wrench. Wood dowel is no where near strong enough.
Metal bar in the ports won't budge but I have not FULLY clamped the barrel yet.
Want to see if Mike recommends heat or soaking it before I put some real actual torque into it
I think it's the surface finish on where it mates to the barrel.Anyone know what Mike uses to put the brakes on rifles? Any thread locker? I need to get it off so I can shoot it suppressed later. Got a call into Mike on this but he may be busy

Nice rifle. I recognize the sling
How is the rifle working for you?
Haha. Glad it is shooting well for you. Enjoy! It's been too loud.
But a one holer with the brake. Need to shoot it on some steel at distance.
Eww. What's with the digital wrap on it? Who did that?Is that a mcmillan game warden stock on the tacops?
I waiting to see that compared to a Zco 8-40. The winner gets a homeFor anyone who’s getting a 66, the PMII 6-36 is going to be worth the wait. Met Jerry in person yesterday and got to take a look through it. The glass is unreal.
Another phenomenal work of art!Need a K12 saw and some bolt cutters.....stay tuned!
Its got better FOV than the PMII 5-25 so I suspect it’ll beat the brakes off the ZCOI waiting to see that compared to a Zco 8-40. The winner gets a home
I want to believe, but it’s only about 10% away from a Tangent 7-35 depending on what deal you can work. Things in Schmidt’s favor include not using a 36mm mount, though. Its got better FOV than the PMII 5-25 so I suspect it’ll beat the brakes off the ZCO
I saw the thing in person resolve cell-tower cables at 3380m on 15X. I think Jerry is on the hide too, he can chime in since I was at the Winchester, VA shop on Wednesday.I want to believe, but it’s only about 10% away from a Tangent 7-35 depending on what deal you can work. I’m poor now, I’ll have to live through you. They have a winner for sure. Not to mention 42 mils of internal elevation on the DTII+ offerings. We’ll see how it stacks up to the TT735P though.
