Rifle Scopes Tangent Theta Gen3 XR - details and images

Yeah that's what I'm worried about.

I'm seriously considering switching from my 4-16x42 ATACR with Mil-xt to the 4-20x50 ZCO with MPCT2 or MPCT3X reticle. Main reason is the mil-xt is a little too cluttered right around the center dot making it hard for me to focus on it. Especially at lower (10-12x) magnification. The ZCO reticles are a little less cluttered around the dot but the dot is also smaller so I might have same issues. I'm assuming you're not able to use the dot on the ZCOs around 10-12X?

By comparison, I have no problem with the MR-4 in the Minox.
I had a 4-16x42 ATACR with Mil-XT reticle, and had a similar thought regarding cluttered center. I’ve got a 4-20 with MPCT2 now. The only thing the ATACR is better at is being a few ounces lighter. I think the ATACR is a good overall package, so don't take this as me crapping on it. Specific to the center dot, if you can't get behind a ZCO, the center dot is the same size as the SKMR/SKMR3, which seem to be easier to find even at sporting good stores. The dot is quite hard for me to see on very low mag, but around 6x-8x I can pick-it up, and around 10x-12x you'd have to have pretty bad eyes to miss it.

Remember, you're not looking through @Glassaholic 's eyes ;) I'm 48 and have ok sight corrected and I'm looking right now through a ZC420 M1 on my desk with the dot being visible 10ish power for me. This is not the best representative due to what the dot is covering but gives you an idea of what the ZC420 looks like at various magnification ranges: https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...es-march-vortex-and-more.6926480/post-9667563

That’s a good comparison. I’ve had a Kahles with skmr and had no issues with center dot.

I do struggle with the EBR-7c on the gen2 Razor, probably because of clutter around it. I can’t use the dot on the EBR-7d on the gen 3 Razor at all.

Seems the MPCT 3x has a bit more clearance than MPCT2 and may be the way to go.

Trying to keep things somewhat compact so the TT with Gen3 XR has not been a front runner.

I have an MPCT 3 and at 60 years of age, I find it difficult to see below 12X.

I have had little issue seeing the center dot on my buds TT with the Gen 3XR but it is twice as large.

My NF MIL-C is really nice as it is larger than the ZCO and smaller than the TT.
