Simple question, though the answer may be more elusive:
What makes a scope robust/rugged?
I am concerned more with the technical aspects of scope construction, design considerations, and materials selection.
As with any attribute, the level of attainment comes with a price. I'm guessing one of the direct implications of a more "robust" scope would be an increase in weight. Is there anything else?
