Got it for Christmas yesterday, watched it it (and D9, another gift) before bed last night. Liked 'em both.

Banked heavily on the time travel paradox without actually doing any.

I found some of the character interaction confusing, will have to watch it again to get who/what straight. Despite a well known back story, the plot was not predictable, I like that. I think it continues to mesh believably, and the action and CG were essentially flawless/outstanding. Plenty of room for sequels, and there are some strong new characters who can play significant role in them. The franchise continues to have strong legs.

Christian Bale was completely credible without overpowering the other characters. Recent criticism to the contrary, I like his body of work, all all his portrayals continue to be plausible and enjoyable.

If there's heat on the set, then there's heat on the set; but it certainly seems to stay off the screen, which is right where it belongs. Modern film making can be mind crushing, if the behind the scene documentaries are to be believed, and acting out is probably just a part of the cool-down process with actor folk. It's not like you can be average/normal and also be good at that sorta job, I'm guessin'.

Anyhoo, looks like the kind of film you can watch over, and get something new out of.

Re: Terminator Salvation

Yes she is.

We liked the movie. I didn't know what to expect, as I hadn't read any reviews. Just when you thought you had it figured out, they threw a curve ball at you. Lots of action, a hot chick, what else do you need?

Re: Terminator Salvation

Movie was filmed in and around Albuquerque, NM. We got to work with them some. One of my co-workers trained up Christian so he would look like he could handle a gun. It was lots of fun. We watched them build all the towers, got to watch them blow up the gas station, and drove in on the road after they made it look post apocalyptic. My co-worker used to fly heli's in Viet Nam and also worked with him so he would look like he could fly. I worked with Sam Worthington and he was a great guy. After several hours he had really caught on could shoot well. Crash course on shooting, movement and tactics.

Re: Terminator Salvation

I think the movie was better than a lot of critics gave it credit for but I think the movie could have been tighter. I mostly blame the director for this.

However, to be fair "Charlie's Angels" was an abomination so this was a step up for him but it still could have been far better.

I thought Christian Bale did a great job as John Conner (though he wasn't really the star). I give him a pass for his famous rant mostly because he's a method actor and was likely very deeply in character when he snapped.

Sam Worthington was great and really did a lot for the movie.

Moon Bloodgood was superhot. Too bad A-10 pilots don't really look like her.
