Because you have the regular sling loop… You need to buy this:

Accuracy International - Harris Bipod Adaptor - 2541

Part No. 2541 To replace front lower sling loop.

did you try tightening the harris screw with an allen key first?
I'm almost certain I have the same as yours, and I mounted the harris without problems, tightening well

The OP’s is a sling loop plate/adapter. The bipod plate/adapter is thicker (really just the sling loop with a couple slivers of metal attached to either side).
