Rifle Scopes The best turrets you have ever felt?

Not in order, Vortex Razor Gen 2 4.5-27x56 great clicks, NF 5.5-22x50 great feel, S&B PMII 5-25x56 nice, Mark 6 with the "pinch" turrets good, Mark 8 with "pinch" turrets windage good but elevation a bit mushy. My favorite is Mark IV target turrets very clean & positive. And there are so many others that I have not tried. OK, I am not difficult...but realistically, scopes are just damn good nowadays.

Really? The feel of the 'clicks' on a turret is the most important aspect of a rifle scope to you? How about that it tracks true, and that it's repeatable and reliable? Great 'clicks' doesn't mean a thing if the scope doesn't track.

Different things get different people off.

-some bust a nut looking through optically clear magnified glass (voyeurs)
-some guys are about trigger feel (all about the fingering)
-some guys are all about accurate tracking (honesty in personality)
-some guys buy chassis & stocks because they don't like the butt that came with their rifles from the factory (ass)
-some guys obsess over the feet they have on their bipods (toe suckers/feet)
-some guys obsess over ejection & extraction (2g-1c)
-some guys are all about watching the bullet splatter on the steel (bukkake)
-some guys are about reliability overall (loyalty)
-some guys are all about thickness of scope tubes and weight (anorexic vs BBW)
-some guys are racist (how many people hate the beautiful bronze tan of the Razor Gen 2 and will only put their faces up on a scope if it's black?)
-and some guys are all about the feel of spinning the turrets(tits/nipples)
-the list goes on.

Please don't judge other guys on what gets them off/makes them happy in their equipment. They like what they like. People around me think I'm stupid for caring more about the scope than the gun. If the gun groups under 0.5" and fits me well(especially the trigger 90 degrees), I'm good regardless of chassis/stock, brand/label.

(And that there is everything I've ever learned about sex and porn in one post.)

I really like the feel and clicks of the Burris XTR2, very very nice IMO.

The Razor Gen 2 are softer and a different feel- not as much my preference though they are good, but I've never ever missed the .mil I wanted dialing on the Razor. EVER. Which says something about them for my hands.

Can't say that for any other scope I've owned.

I dig it!!! Don't forget the guys who are all about sharing their rifles, ammo, gear with buddies (wife-sharing), the guys who bring every single one of their guns to the range every time to shoot (gangbangs)...

That said, best turrets I've played with = Tangent Theta (and yes, the scope tracks lol).

When discussing riflescopes, most people are operating under the assumption that accurate and reliable tracking is a given, and if a scope doesn't track it is broken and needs to go back for repair.

So when people dwell on the quality of glass or turret clicks or weight, etc. they aren't saying that particular feature is more important than tracking.

Tracking is is not a feature. Neither is the main tube or reticle or the stuff necessary to support the optical assembly. You need all of them in a rifle scope. Features, on the other hand, are optional.

So when Phillip says he likes the glass in his IOR he is not subordinating tracking or any other necessity. I happen to like the look of S&B glass better than Hensoldt. I like Hensoldt click feel better than S&B. In fact, Hensoldt clicks are light years better. Hensoldt is several inches shorter. I like it better on a short action. I like the S&B better on a long action. These preferences are in regard to features.

What I'm trying to say is don't read into people's posts.

It looks like all the expensive stuff is pretty well covered. My favorite turrets are from the Kahles personally.

But I have to say, as biased as this sounds, my XTR II turrets are pretty damn nice. It got a couple previous honorable mentions mixed in amongst all the 3 and 4k scopes getting all the attention. So I'm glad I'm not alone in my opinion.
