I was looking at the Division 2 website earlier and noticed their Sharpshooter specialization class is rocking a Cadex Defence chassis system. Thought was pretty cool to see, I wonder if there will be other variations in the game as well.

The Game people are always at SHOT SHOW looking for stuff to include

One year we stayed at the same hotel as the Call of Duty guys and they picked our brain for hours. Which booths to go too, which products to include. We tried telling them gameplay stuff but they declined, we wanted the suppressors on the guns to block the FOV after a certain amount of shots, and we tried telling them a guy cannot snipe me 3 blocks away with a 9mm Tavor or FN2000, LOL

They wander SHOT and bring all that stuff back to the games

That is really cool, didn't know that. It's awesome that they reach out to the industry like that. just wish they'd listen to you more!!

All depends on the game type/style, Arcade shooters like COD and battlefield, they just want to look at the guns and gear, try to get sounds etc. Your MilSims like Arma, have advisors on board for realism. Its's not uncommon for the studio's to bring on Vets for authenticity purposes.

I have a very close friend who is a COd Dev at treyarch, he calls me all the time asking about little stuff. To date, nothing I’ve ever told him or corrected him on has ever made it to the game. COD is an arcade shooter not based anywhere in reality. Ghost recon is more real. However, I think the next COd is going to be Modern Warfare 4 so maybe just maybe it will be more real but you’ll still get 1 shot kills from across the map because that’s just how it is.

Hopefully they don't pull a Ghost Recon Wildlands and cap the magnification to 5.5x and require 3-4 center mass shots with a 338LM to take out a bad guy while his buddy spawns behind you and shuts you down with one shot from some ghetto blaster.

Don't get your hopes up because a gun looks cool. Its a fun game, but you have to take it for what it is, a third person RPG with shooting. When you have to shoot some crappy MAC10 look alike because it has better stats than the AR type rifle you start with, you must suspend your logic and just play games. I attempted to use a Desert Tech style bullpup sniper rifle on the Beta, took two shots to kill a bad guy from 25 yards.

By the way, in GR Wildlands I was one shotting helos and trucks from outside their engagement range easily with my HTI ;)
