The Downfall of America........

The bill includes across-the-board increases for every federal entity, including the legislative branch, which would see a 16.5% funding boost if the bill becomes law. That increase for Congress is second only to funding for military construction and veterans, which get a 20.9% bump, according to an analysis from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

A federal agency is considering a ban on gas stoves amid rising concern about the health risks associated with indoor air pollution from the appliances, particularly among children.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, which can issue mandatory standards or ban consumer products if no feasible standard would adequately protect the public, plans to take action to address the gas pollution that has long been linked to health and respiratory problems. Richard Trumka Jr., a U.S. Consumer Product Safety commissioner, tweeted on Monday that “gas stoves can emit dangerous [levels] of toxic chemicals—even when not in use—and @USCPSC will consider all approaches to regulation.”

Why are US Taxpayer funds going to finance risky private businesses ? The Federal Reserve and Jerome Powell can raise interest rates to the moon and it will do no good to lower inflation as long as the US Government continues to hand out "Free Money" to individuals and businesses.

The leader of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said Thursday that American business is “fed up” with a dysfunctional Washington making it harder for employers to hire enough workers and overcome red tape to complete projects. In her annual address on the state of American business, Chamber President and CEO Suzanne P. Clark said business leaders are frustrated by “the polarization, the gridlock, the overreach, the inability to act smartly or strategically for our future,” issues emanating from Congress and the administration.

“There are too many instances where government just isn’t working,” Ms. Clark said. “When a border crisis allows millions to cross illegally into this country, but we can’t get visas processed for engineers and nurses that businesses are desperate to hire and communities need, government isn’t working. When you’ve got the most significant new investment in infrastructure in a generation and businesses ready to build [but] the projects can’t get approved, government isn’t working.”

The Biden administration announced this week that Elizabeth Klein, an official with a history of climate activism, as the new director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).
In its announcement, the Department of the Interior (DOI), which oversees BOEM, lauded Klein — who joined the administration as a senior counselor to Interior Secretary Deb Haaland in 2021 after the Senate failed to confirm her as the agency's second in command — for her experience as an attorney specializing in clean energy, climate change and environmental law and policy.

After they start shipping the water, the nation CANCER average of 30 individuals will rise to 46, so the area will be on par with the rest of the United states.. hence... they can't call it cancer alley anymore ;)

WASHINGTON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden will name former COVID policy coordinator Jeff Zients as his next chief of staff, a source familiar with the matter said on Sunday, refreshing a key role as Biden readies a likely re-election bid and faces a probe of his handling of classified documents.
Ron Klain, Biden's current chief of staff, plans to leave his post in the coming weeks, sources familiar with the matter have told Reuters. He is expected to stay in the role after his successor starts to ease the transition, according to the source.
The appointment could be announced on Monday, the source said. The White House had no immediate comment.

I'm surprised the driver didn't ventilate the bad guy. There's no way I'd be a delivery guy without carrying a handgun.

With the cost of vehicles and replacement parts sky rocketing... The "Hood Rat's" are gettin' busy.
Chop shops should be doing well.

I'm hearing Denver is getting real bad. Know a guy who is a manager for a big rental fleet operation, and they're getting hit constantly.

I understand most of the new cars these days that have the electronic key fob to open and start a vehicle can be easily stolen now with just an App on a tablet, and a couple minutes of key strokes.

And that's what's so damn funny........ Lose your "key fob" to a newer vehicle and the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg to "fabricate" a new one for you.. And yet a Hood Rat with a stolen IPhone is in your car and off in less than 30 seconds.

Am I the only person that see's this ?

These keyless entry remotes limit your options for a new key. The replacement remote must be purchased at the dealer or a factory parts reseller. And while it's handy to carry smart keys in your purse or pocket, these are the very places you will feel the pain when you lose them. The cost of replacing and reprogramming a smart key can range from $220 to over $500 for some luxury vehicles.

On one of my Toyota's, I can disable (turn off) the key fob by holding down the lock button, then double tap the unlock button. Also saves the battery from running down.

They really need something like a true panic button that calls LE for them; make it look like an old-time headlight hi/low switch and make it work only when in Park with parking brake activated.

Progressive and State Farm, two of America’s largest auto insurers, are refusing to write policies in certain cities for some older Hyundai and Kia models that have been deemed too easy to steal, according to the companies.
Several reports say the companies have stopped offering insurance on these vehicles in cities that include Denver, Colorado and St. Louis, Missouri. The insurance companies did not tell CNN which cities or states were involved.

I'm a little surprised the demographics hasn't been changing faster with over 5M illegal immigrants at least crossing the border, and border patrol guessing they are missing at least 30% of illegals.. Cartels and criminals are pouring into the US over the last few years.
The new rate is estimated at 250K PER MONTH. Saw a blurb on TV, there are several towns in South America completely empty because they've all crashed the border.
All now on welfare. WTF. Downfall indeed, and completely self inflicted.
