Remember the Hunt Brothers attempting to corner the silver market? The lesson learned "No man is bigger than the market".Massive government deficit spending.. propping up the economy, making politicians and their friends rich. Destroying the working Americans.
Chevy trucks (somewhat dated):I built computer chip plants. In the beginning there was ZERO government funding. Why is the US Government borrowing money to give to the computer chip companies. If the national debt was paid off, my opinion could be different.

Over 50,000 Chinese military have crossed the southern border
Because the government allowed offshoring of our production capability under the guise of Globalism. I remember Direct TV launching from China, before hand the Chinese did not have the guidance systems to put a stabilized craft into space, afterward they did. Major chips come from Taiwan and South Korea, two very vulnerable production areas. Waltons and others got rich off the backs of everyday Americans. We were and still are committing economic suicide, Globalism is not good, just look and the PPE issues during Scamdemic.I built computer chip plants. Feb 16 (Reuters) - The Biden administration is in talks to award more than $10 billion in subsidies to Intel Corp , Bloomberg News reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Negotiations are underway, and Intel's award package will likely include both loans and direct grants, according to the report.
The U.S. Department of Commerce, which oversees the disbursement of CHIPS Act funds, and Intel declined to comment.
The department has already announced two smaller Chips Act grants and U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said earlier this month that her department planned to make several funding awards within two months from the government's $39 billion program to boost semiconductor manufacturing.
The semiconductor fund is intended to subsidize chip production and related supply chain investments, and the awards will help build factories and increase production.
Intel plans to spend tens of billions of dollars to fund chip factories at longtime sites in Arizona and New Mexico, along with a new site in Ohio that the Silicon Valley company says could become the world's largest chip plant.
All laws should have Sunset Clauses as well.I will paint this comment with a wide brush.
There are millions of laws, rules, statures, etc here in America.
The issue is they are not "enforced" or even "enforced selectively"...
Every day people break laws knowing they will not be enforced.
It's not that America is lawless, more like unenforced.
If a law is not enforced, it should be removed from the books.
American Airlines said Monday that it is ordering 260 new narrow-body jets, including dozens of Boeing’s
long-delayed 737 Max 10.
The order includes 85 of Boeing’s 737 Max 10 planes and 85 of the Airbus A321neo, aircraft it says will help it upgauge on domestic and short-haul international routes. The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline is also ordering 90 Embraer E175 planes.
This is how the Government props up a failing economy. The numbers for the US ISM Manufacturing PMI will be painting a rosy picture for the American industrial sector. Down the road these orders will be canceled or severely downsized... This trend is not sustainable.

Airbus Pulls Further Ahead Of Boeing With 50 Delivery Orders In February
Airbus' 79 jets delivered so far this year puts it 20% higher than its performance at the same point last year. This means Airbus continues to outpace Boeing and expand its market share as the world's premier jet producer.
In the latest annual earnings report, Airbus signaled that it would increase jet deliveries to about 800 for the full year, 65 more than in 2023. Analysts had estimated the goal to reach about 825 units.

If Boeing does not "adapt" to the reality of the world...... It will go extinct.Spirit AeroSystems in Talks with Boeing and Airbus
3d chess move
Boeing is in preliminary talks to buy back Spirit AeroSystems, the company it spun off in 2005. This potential acquisition marks a significant shift in Boeing’s strategy, as it would reverse a long-standing trend of outsourcing key manufacturing operations.
The news comes amidst ongoing scrutiny surrounding Boeing’s quality control practices, following a door panel blowout incident on a 737 MAX aircraft in January 2024. This incident, involving a plane built with parts from Spirit AeroSystems, led to the temporary grounding of all 737 Max 9 planes in the United States.
Reintegrating Spirit back under Boeing’s umbrella would allow for greater control over the manufacturing process, potentially leading to improved quality and safety of Boeing’s airplanes, according to a statement by Boeing. This sentiment is echoed by Spirit, which stated in a separate press release that they are “currently engaged in discussions with Boeing about a possible acquisition”
In parallel with Boeing, Spirit is reportedly in talks with Airbus regarding the possible acquisition of their Belfast, Northern Ireland, plant. This Spirit facility supplies structural components, primarily on wings, for the Airbus A320, A330, and A340 families of aircraft. This move would allow Airbus to secure a crucial supplier and potentially expand its own manufacturing capabilities. For Spirit, selling the plant to Airbus could offer financial stability and a clearer path forward amid ongoing talks with Boeing as the US manufacturer would likely not want to be producing components for its rival.
Whether the Airbus or Boeing talks with Spirit AeroSystems will ultimately result in any acquisition remains to be seen. Both firms are keen to regain control of their supply chains, which could tip the scales to moving on to acquisition. The move is not without precedent. Airbus, for example, has repatriated its formerly separated units Premium Aerotec and Stelia Aerospace back under its aegis. By bringing operations back in-house, both companies aim for greater control over the manufacturing process, potentially leading to improved quality, efficiency, and delivery times.

They poisoned pilots by forcing the to take the jab and now have admitted lowering health screenings requirement to keep them flying. How many airports in the Country have undergone massive enlargement and updating in the past 24 years? Remember when Reagan fired the air traffic controllers? Why do they talk this crap out of both sides “must kill cows to save the environment but let’s build more airports, they talk more BS than a used car salesman located outside the scrapyard!Insanity - Throwing more money at an old problem, hoping it will go away. Build more airports.
Denver International Airport (DEN) was the last new major airport built … in 1995.
The Biden administration said Monday it is seeking funding from Congress to hire another 2,000 air traffic controllers in the 2025 budget year after a series of near-miss incidents.
In President Donald Trump’s assessment, the condition of America’s airports is equivalent to that of a third-world country. It’s not the first time the political realm has commented on the deteriorating conditions of the airports in the country’s major hubs, such as New York, New York; Los Angeles, California; and Washington, D.C. During his campaign for president, Trump said that infrastructure was “obsolete” and vowed to overhaul airports.

Walmart building a dairy processing facility, something seems off here with a corporate giant branching its tentacles
into what some may consider an already over saturated market. Aren’t we getting rid of the cows to save earth?
Both of these plants will need a huge supply of dairy cows to run a maximum production capacity.
I'm going to keep getting mine from a miniature jersey but you are probably right.A brilliant move. Watch any of the Ag Channels on TV and in order to stay in business the industry must develop both technology and automation. Sounds like this plant will have both. We may see the day when the only place to get milk will be at a Walmart.

All the Government has to do is to win 51% of the time. Makes for a hell of a show and when the 49% crowd wins something there is much cheering and celebration. Death by 1,000 cuts.SydneyPowell remember how she was able to quickly gain a platform on inconsistency with the 2020 election.
The Rick Weible video from Brookings, SD posted in today’s PJ made me recall her. One thing that never sat well with me about her, she was allowed to circulate in all the right circles convincingly, as the onion was peeled nothing she stated could be confirmed as fact. what If she was pumped full of factual information from an unknown source to do exactly as she did, who then either changed or altered the information to make it appear contrary to what she was advocating. Makes the entire Trump claims appear unhinged at best. Not sure what my subconscious sees between these people but MRWeible definitely backed up his data to keep it from being compromised.

i make no claims of much insight, any expertise or experience beyond a lot of reading. i wonder if this might be a good thing? we have carrier battle groups that have recently supported action against non peer enemies (or called enemies by our gov). my thought is in the new world with hypersonic missles, mass drone attacks and more advanced subs held by china etc etc etc. are big carrier groups an answer? i think of bill mitchell and battleships in the 30s. we still used them in ww2 but mostly for ground support. without them we would still have prevailed. same in VN. very effective artillery but never threatened in VN or really in ww2. same might be said for cavalry in ww1/2, the same thoughts have been kicked around re tanks on the modern battlefield. i make no claim to know but i fear that the old saw "fighting the last " in current times may need assessment IMHO.![]()
