Has anyone got a geissele scope mount on their Fix?

I can see that, didn’t know if there was a video on it showing how fast it can actually be. I see most folks using their thumb on top of the bolt to cycle. This tends to be extremely slow and inefficient. Are you using this technique or blading the bolt like a standard rifle?
It can be bladed just fine. I know how to run a bolt very quickly and it can keep up with any normal twist action bolt (ie not a blaser). If you’re used to having forward pressure applied during the downstroke while closing like I imagine you would be it takes a little getting used to not being able to do that, but otherwise it cycles the same as any other. Very smooth.
I shoot without my thumb wrapped, consequently it rests nicely on the top of the bolt. This means I'm already indexed, so when I run the short 45 degree throw its almost just a wrist flick. It's the quickest bolt action I've used - and I grew up shooting Lee Enfield's.
Yes, works really well and great lock up. A bit on the heavy side IMO (7 oz) but very precise and tight tolernaces.
You can always just have a 16.5 barrel built.

Scalarworks mount is like 5oz, I believe. Which would be the lightest, even in 34mm setup. I love mine. 0 problems. @Scotch_egg

I’m actually looking at the spuhr hunter mount. 135g the cantilever Mount isn’t out yet ?
I use the nightforce unimount on one and nightforce regular or extreme rings on the other

That is a great hunting set up. All it needs in a lightweight short can like TBAC ultra 5, SiCo omega, EA Vox S, or DA Nomad... all direct threads to keep it shorter and lighter.

As pictured without bipod - 9.4 lbs. i could easily cut 1lb by removing the brake, full arca rail , and extra sling stud.
Mine is the 42mm objective. Her is the nightforce setup, the ultra light rings would save more weight
Finally took the fix out today. Was shooting very poorly from a tripod until I realized I’m pulling the shots and it’s very obvious I’m right handed. I brought my CNC machine vise with me to help sight it in. Using it to take myself out of the equation, I saw sub 3/4 moa with 8 mph wind gusts @100 yards.

Ammo was factory Hornady ELD-M 147
All the shots were back to back, only waited for the rifle to cool down between each grouping but the barrel was still warm. Still happy with my investment, knowing that it’s a hunting/utility rifle and weighing 9.8 lbs with a Viper PST Gen 2. Maybe it needs more breaking in, shot about 60 rounds through it total. If I get to the point of holding 1/2 MOA with it, it’ll get better glass but till then, it’ll serve it’s purpose putting coyotes down and venison on the table.
Took the Fix to Thunder Valley Precision for open range day a couple weeks back and it way outperformed my expectations. Hitting steel at a thousand became boring so I tried my luck at a mile. I took 15 shots or so between rain showers and came very close but never hit. Not bad for 10 pound rifle in 6.5!
The best part was handing my rifle to brand new shooters who were also able to hit at a thousand with some help.

A few pages back someone was testing/using them and they sounded like they had no issues, as well.
Had Dave Tooley spin up a 22” Sendero light Proof CF barrel. Rifle with scope is down to 9lbs and is much better balanced compared to the 22” medium Palma B/T it came with. After only 10 rounds down the tube, the same load that hammered in the original did this (1st in the same hole, 5th was me):

What’s the saving over a sendero barrel? Does it need to be the sendero light to fit under the tube?

Per Proof, 3ozs. I don't think you need to go light Sendero for clearance except possibly for the sling mount.
I shoot surpessed and shot a uk prl match with my 24” proof 6.5 creedmoor barrel. I didn’t have issue with the cheek piece. It’s all personal perspectives. There are other things I don’t like. But then there are things I don’t like about my AI. That’s why we all own more than one rifle.
As for proof barrel their options suck. I want an 18” 6 creedmoor. I’m getting a spare 16.5 factory barrel and using the extension for a custom proof done by a Tooley.
It's funny on one hand you say how the shortcomings of the fix are personal perspective, then in the next breath , say proof selection sucks - maybe you just have an odd request

In the same barrel lengths. Or at least 18”, 20”, 22”
The Fix handles better with shorter barrels and shorter barrels handle far better with a silencer attached than a longer barrel.
I want an 18” 6 creedmoor proof barrel to compliment my 24” 6.5 creedmoor proof barrel.
What length would other people like? Maybe proof research would make them available if there was a few more people who want the same thing.

I agree, I think the Fix really shines for me as a hunting rifle. The distances I'm killing deer or pigs, they don't care if it comes from 16" barrel or a 26" one. The shorter barrel is much easier to handle/pack.
I'd love to get my hands on a 16.5" or 18" 6.5 barrel. Hopefully when I save a few more pennies I'll order a blank and spin one up in a few months.
Its funny because when the reveiwer said certain parts of the rifle suck, you say its just personal perspective. Then you go on to say Proof selection sucks, when really, in your perspective it sucks, but really that selection will satisfy 90% of demand
I agree that the proof selection sucks, but there’s a reason for it. Those lengths coincide with their small shank blanks(1.13”). According to the rep I spoke to, they’ll be making some shorter lengths in those blanks, which will hopefully translate into some shorter Q prefits.

Of course it only sucks to me and might suit 90% of the market. If only I had started my sentence with IMHO ?
I’ve just had an email from Montey Howe at Proof they won’t do a custom order so I’m going to continue with my plan to have Dave Tooley do me an 18” 6 creedmoor.
Just a shame they haven’t put actual thought into this. They make short blanks to order after all.
The problem there is they don’t make an 18” carbon blank. You could go steel of course.
Someone should do a group buy on this. Wonder how many we would have to buy to get a price break
bugger I missed the most important part. Even put an order in for the 18” barrel with a store and wasn’t told it isn’t even available.
Kind of a weird omission I think. They exist throughout their line. You could always just go custom steel. Weight would be near identical, you’d just miss out on the Pimp factor of carbon.
Here’s what I show for their carbon 6mm blanks. I’ll do a 16.5”. 1.5” shorter than an 18” won’t mean anything on target imo.
Got my Lancer mag today and still has feeding issues when moving the bolt slow. Going to try the velcro trick next.
