He, and Anderson Cooper, are calling for the media not to publicize the names of the asswipes who do these mass shootings. No publicity for them, only swift justice. With that can agree.

One of my former jobs had me monitoring electronic media.....
So, it sounds real good calling on media to "be responsible".
And if they did, it would be but one small drop in the bucket.... and almost useless....
So, a case study.
X, a mildly bullied, introvert, challenged (c student), less than handsome, and sexually confused......
Starts electronic media communications, has a website, does Twitter, tweets.... does commentary, and......
(Heard saying, "I've got 400 followers and 1500 responses" l
And it was noted, his confidence grew, and his parents were proud that X was "becoming" something....
Time slipped on, and X was heard saying, "I've got 4,800 followers and 20,000 comments, I've got reviews, and I got to do an editorial for x-bart news"
And it was noted, his confidence grew, parents were proud.....
So, about his senior year, X was heard saying " I've got over 50k followers and 200,000 comments, I've got 500 reviews, and I've done an editorial a week, I'm in three newspapers......"
Sounds like a success story so far.... right ? Parents are almost orgasmic X is super kid, after all, they have heard "his" 50k, 200,000 comments, 500 reviews, success story" (from him) and they "see" him "something"..
Sounds real good, right ? But, remember, introvert, mildly bullied, challenged, less than handsome, and sexually confused....
So, X, all pumped up because of his electronic popularity, his parents orgasmic praise, and his "perceived" importance, asks the head cheerleader to the prom....
She told him no. She told her friends about it. Her stud boyfriend and his buds humiliated X.
X committed suicide.
A couple of X's electronic followers committed suicide because X did, one of them a younger sexually confused male who was involved electronically with X, and who was devastated X asked the girl out, then killed himself because she turned him down....
Parents were devastated. Investigation produced a book sized file of data from electronic communications that detailed the above and "the thought process" of X and his fellow suicides.
The electronic media communications of X and his followers was his world, totally apart from MSM, the cheerleaders world, his parents world, and for damn sure, my world (the investigator). He was not influenced by MSM...
He was a marginalized individual, with marginalized parents, living in a reality not in sync with the rest of us.
If MSN doesn't mention those people, what good is it going to do, if those 50k followers keep the chain going ??
If society's values don't find real places for marginalized people to fit in, they will fit in "in" electronic media that's a lot like video games... and about as real.
MSM, for sure needs to stop sensationalizing those losers, fer sure, but they will have to go much further in promoting positives, values, and good things.
But, that wouldn't be on their agenda, would it ?
David Hogg version is pushing the thought police further on us. Don't mention those killers, get everybody on board, then don't give the nra voice, then the rest of us.
