Just seems as of late rather than support and look for positives we focus on the negative's. I guess it is the world we live in or cabin fever?
Most manufacturers and most customers in the Cadex price point/range have a go be poor somewhere else attitude towards anyone that can’t afford one of their rigs and a Schmidt Und Spender optic with a Spuhr mount and an Atlas bipod and all of the other Gucci accoutrements. For Cadex on a public forum to not only acknowledge that their gear is a stretch for some people but to defend them says all the right things about Cadex. Well done sir

Smart businesses understand which markets they want to be in and which ones they don't.
I'm not saying that's Cadex's strategy, because I don't work there. What I am saying is that not everyone chases after every buck in every corner of the market, and there are good reasons (tangible and intangible) for not doing so.
Back in July 21. Now to fair I did not ask about colors, I was just asking about pricing and options but when someone tells me that they only offer the one type and is what I already got I assume it’s black only because the serial number of my rifle was shared during this conversation.
Just to clarify I am not knocking on cadex in anyway I love their product and they’re free to offer whatever products they deem fit, I was just answering a question from a forum member with the information I had and now yours.

So I agree, in what you say. I understand they are very successful with government contract type stuff, which is probably where the focus lies.
However, it does seem that they are trying to push more into the precision rifle arena for the public, based on their new offerings and media campaign.
Its the contrast that stands out. things that stand out get picked on. Someone putting a stock Savage on a RRS tripod with a Zco and skypod hangin off the front would likely catch the same flak. There may also be a little rifle envy involved.
So a new shooter (per your words) who has nothing else to compare it to from experience calling it the lamborghini of precision rifles. Got it.
I can afford nice things and know that it takes to afford nice things. Nobody has the budget for a $7500 rifle but not decent glass. Whatever though, not going to convince the social media marketing guy of a company.

Thanks for posting this up for us to drool over and enjoy. Please don't allow our collective snobbery and bulls**t discourage you in any way from participating on this forum. We do tend to get out of hand occasionally and you are witnessing a prime example of it.
We need more participation not less from the manufacturers who build the very objects of our fascination... Continue with the quality manufacturing of your amazing products and forgive our indiscretions!

All barrel tenon drawings are available on our website (except the Kraken Multi-Caliber). All you need is a gunsmith capable to replicate a basic drawing and you're good to go. If you/he needs assistance you can contact us at [email protected] and we'll help you shortly.
You are right on the barrel contour. Cadex is a manufacture, not a custom shop so we do not offer a variety of barrel profiles. We offer 11 different colors of Cerakote, we hope that this is enough. We require the serial number of the rifle so that we could provide a replacement barrel that maintain a tight head space and do not require a gunsmith. Most people buy and action wrench and the barrel wise and change their barrels themselves. We do not share our drawings for the Kraken Multi-Caliber as this is our flagship model and the tooling requires to manufacture these barrels is far more complex than a conventional barrel spin on a lathe. We'd rather lose a couple sales a year than create ourselves a bunch of problems with gunsmiths that may have difficulties to replicate this barrel drawing. Some may be able, most wouldn't have the skills or the requires tooling.

Can they headspace a replacement barrel at distance within 0.001" ? The answer is no.
They do sell prefit barrels, but they can't guarantee a very tight headspace. Everyone is producing prefit barrels within maximum headspace tolerance, so that people could buy off-the-shelf replacement barrels. You may get one with .001" or headspace, or you could have one with .006" max SAAMI spec (on most calibers) and this will affect a lot the life expectancy of your brass if you're a reloader.
We think differently and we'd rather have a customer call us when he needs a new barrel. This allow us to validate the headspace, that no model revision or recall is affecting his rifle, etc It's a more personal approach with our customers. We keep track of the measurements of all our barrels, actions, bolts and recoil lugs. We adjust rifle's headspace using various recoil lug thicknesses at .001" of incremental between them. So once a barrel is produced, we never go with a reamer again inside and risk chattering or misalignment.
If a customer prefers to go see his gunsmith for a replacement barrel, they can and all barrel tenons (except Kraken Multi-Cal) are available to the customer. Many are going this route for wildcat calibers that a manufacture like ours can't produce.
I hope that this explains better why we went this direction.
You can order a barrel on bare stainless finish, but don't expect us to spends hours to polish it. If you do not polish it then you'll see tooling marks unless you sandblast it. You can also buy replacement barrels in 11 different colors.
Sir, I'm afraid your assumptions are wrong as we never interfered with anyone that made Kraken aftermarket barrels... and there's some that do. Maybe someone of this forum can point you out in the right direction.
There's a difference between not interfering and helping out, and helping out is something that we are not interested in. We are a business and we provide jobs to about 100 employees and this requires sales, not sending business to others as you can imagine. We help every gunsmith or customer that require support except for the Kraken Multi-Caliber. We provide prints within every action that we sell separate and help out any customer or gunsmith that need support, just not for our flagship model.

if you live and drive in big city its not even a special occurance anymore. you pretty much see one every day along with other super cars sprinkeled in.
I've seen maybe 3 lambos in my town in 35 years. Just so happen to see a McLaren F7 last week too. Young Asian dude was pimping that thing around. I don't live in a big city
I must say, tough crowd. Didn't realize that it was the communities gun that they were willing to invest in as well. I bough it just before deploying and didn't have a plethora of extra money lying around to drop on a scope as well before I left. My PST and Caldwell went on so I could at least go shoot it, but a NF is my plan once I'm home and maybe just to keep the keyboard critics happy I'll even post the update. But as of right now, the PST and Caldwell get me on target just fine.
I'm open to suggestions. But like cadex eluded to. I didn't have the cash on hand to blow another 3-6k on a scope at the time. I'm not the most pleased of the setup but it does the job just fine for now.You should have the owner post his pics and comments here so we can converse with him directly. I'm sure it will turn out alright.
Currently deployed so I don't have any right now. But when I was breaking it in I was able to get 10rds within about an inch at 100m. So as of this moment you will have to believe me off that until I can get back home to shoot it again. With a new optic hopefully
If it is what you can afford and you are happy with its performance then tell the keyboard critics to eat a dick or 312, just go out and shoot.

I oft like to let folks know that my 5 shots under .5” groups were shot off a Harris.
Off a sucky bench (prone not allowed at that range due to previous fools).

I'm always amazed at what I can do with crappy benches and a harris bi-pod too!
Though, I could throw one of my Cadex bi-pods on there to keep it mostly Canadian (Rifle, Glass and Bi-Pod), just seems to upset people shooting well off the Harris.
