That's the "Hodge Road" recreation area off the 15 freeway near Barstow, CA. Yes, it's a shit hole. There be people living in broke down RV's in the area who are scavengers/drug users.... Gotta keep head on swivel.

Stumbled upon this beauty queen thanks to an armed robbery that took place next door to her place. After the incident she told her friend she wanted to learn how to use a firearm, and needed help buying one to protect herself, and her kids.

A pic from when we first met (2011). This remarkable women took a chance on a recent widower with three young boys who had just lost their mother to a super aggressive cancer. Fast forward 9 years, and we're still married, have a child of our own together, and all my boys call her "Mom."
Add into that, she's staunchly against guns, and she STILL let me get into this crazy hobby! Definite keeper.
