Ok, so I have some news. Monday, the 21st was supposed to be the day we took delivery of our new machine. It rolled out of the Haas production line yesterday. Somehow, someway, a ball got dropped. It didn't make the east bound delivery.

Were busting ass to find another truck but as it stands right now were not going to take delivery until the week of the 28th.

This wouldn't be a big deal except I literally just delivered my old machine to the High School. (See the link)

    Production that is affected:
    • Bolt fluting
    • Bolt Handle Skeletonizing
    • Barrel fluting
    • Barrel engraving
I am going to work on transitioning these jobs to the Kitamura as its the only open spindle. Problem is the program handshaking is not cut/dry. (anyone who does this stuff understands what I mean when you have pre written setups with G10's and whatnot.)

Your stuff might be slightly delayed. We will bust our arse to keep this at a minimum.

Thanks. -its always something. . .lol.

You mean to tell me instead of a 2 day turn around on bolts we are going to have to wait...(gasp).....10-14 days?..lol ;)

I'm waiting on a final few items and then I'll be sending in a barreled action for a makeover. I was hoping to beat the M70 GB and it sounds like I might now!

Now there is customer service! Info up front as to why your items might take an entire two weeks to turn-around, and a commitment to minimize the wait. I have tried to work with other CS organizations that won't even return a call or email in 2 weeks. This just ROCKS! And good on ya for donating a cool machine to the local school. Great community outreach!

Got a couple programs moved/proofed today. Have a couple stocks to run so I'll get back on them tomorrow.

-Did get a call today. Haas found another truck. Machine is on the way and will be here late Monday. Now that we have that, the damn riggers are the issue, lol. Once they learned that Monday was open they booked and don't have an another opening till Friday.

ALWAYS something...lol. It'll be worth the wait.

My guyTanner is going to shit his pants. Old Haas: 400ipm rapid rates. Big Kitamura: 2000ipm rapid rates. New Haas only has 1400ipm so it shouldn't be too shocking.

CRASH INSURANCE, well worth the $60 bucks a month!

That's badass Chad. I don't the know the first thing about these machines, but donating what is obviously still a stud of a workhorse to the local school is a pure class act. Good on ya!

    Movin programs!

Got a small gaggle done today.
