Y’all are great! This has been truly eye opening. It took me a few days to read the whole thread up to now, because I have a life and all... BUT, here we are.
Let’s take race out of the equation, because several folks have proven that cannot, and present facts. We will begin at the act/crime presumed committed.
1. Man seen trespassing. Factual event due to video.
2. Second man places 911 call, bravo.
3. Man seen trespassing flees home on foot. Factual event due to video.
4. Armed civilians , two men, choose to pursue suspect in afore mentioned trespassing based on witnessing act and assuming previous crimes had been perpetrated by the same individual.
5. Armed civilians attempt to stop suspect in afore mentioned trespassing, twice. Suspect evades first attempt for reasons unknown to outside parties.
6. Civilian chooses to exit vehicle and confront suspect while brandishing a shotgun.
7. Suspect from afore mentioned trespassing is engaged and subsequently fired upon resulting in his demise.
8. Video from street event shows, albeit of poor quality, events leading to and sound signatures of shots in real time.

Known truths beyond this
1. A man is dead.
2. Two civilians are now to be tried for what they felt were justified actions. Despite the outcome, their lives are forever altered and are now subject to civil/wrongful death litigation.
3. This applies to all involved parties: PLAY STUPID GAMES, WIN STUPID PRIZES.

The rest is where speculation and conjecture live.

Perhaps I'm basing too much of my assumption on my experiences but I've been around minorities a LOT. It seems that when it comes to confrontations like this; the blacks want to put up a fight, just like the blacks at the college I worked at. And that was no matter how polite and friendly I was.

I get what you're saying and respect your experience for sure. I also agree about the attitude and aggression of young black males as it is culture for them.
But think about the jury which is going to be influenced the most by the video of the last :30 of his life. That video is a strong case for a murder conviction. Remember at no time were they trying to make a citizen's arrest, (that was fabricated later, wasn't in the first police report, and it appears that most people here are not understanding this) nor did they communicate it to him so he sees guys coming at him with guns and he is justified to stand his ground.
I'm taking my emotions and experience out of this and thinking about the jury, that's where I'm coming from. All of this goes out the window once the legal sharks start feeding, so right now it's just a big guessing game as @HolyCity73 said above.

I do think that some of you guys need to chill and stop hating on your brothers here. It ain't good for you. (not you @Longshot231) The media is already working to divide us more on this so I would think this group should not let them win. Relax dudes, go pay mom respect.

I watched the whole series and it's sad how they let those families down.
