The war in Ukraine and Donbas

So fill me in, Why is everybody on the left having a giant meltdown over Tucker going to Russia and get the other side of a story ? I may be old but I can still remember Walter coming on the air before suppertime and telling us facts and both sides of the story, then we made up out own mind using the facts. My personal take on this war from the beginning has been that Russia's military is like 5 times bigger in terms of soldiers and I don't see a way that Ukraine could possibly win. The USA keeps sending all my tax dollars and ammo over to a losing cause.

Edward R. Murrow interviewed Fidel Castro on American television and acted like a big propaganda puppet for the dictator yet nobody on the left criticized him for that.

If you mean Walter Cronkite I am not sure I would say he told the US people facts and both sides of the story.....not by a long shot.

He is an early example as part of the problem, part of the propaganda machine. To tell the truth it is a toss up on who I dislike more, him or Jane Fonda. Both are huge piles of runny dog shit.

Just checking back... Is Ukraine still about to win this military exercise?

Maybe if Ukraine wasn't stealing 60-80% of all the cash and weapons billions in aid, this would be over?
Actually, all that stolen money is propping up the stock market. Carry on. Go Ukraine!

Nothing says winning like having down syndrome folk holding the line. Poor sod is serving as a punching bag and an outlet for abuse by rest of the soldiers in that trench

Now who would have thought nuclear radiation is the cure for cancer

Serious stress factors create leaps forward in natural selection.
Wolves with mutations that make them less prone to cancer survive and breed, that trait is reinforced with each new generation which can be as little as 4 years or so for wild animals. Nature is remarkable and adapts quickly.

It used to happen all the time with humans, but folks forgot about it.

Look around, we have plenty of human mutants.

Sounds like winning

“Very bad decision,” a Ukrainian military captain told NatSec Daily. The captain, like others, was granted anonymity to avoid retaliation or to provide their unvarnished opinion.

Another person knowledgeable of Syrskyi’s operations echoed that view. His appointment is unlikely to have a positive effect for Ukraine, as Syrskyi is seen by those on the frontlines as a stern Soviet-style general who callously puts his men in danger.

This person added that Ukrainian troops have given Syrskyi a gruesome nickname: “Butcher.” The captain confirmed that the nickname has stuck, as has “General200” — Code 200 =KIA , code 300=WIA

The negative reviews keep pouring in: “General Syrski’s leadership is bankrupt, his presence or orders coming from his name are demoralizing, and he undermines trust in the command in general,” a Ukrainian military officer posted on X. “His relentless pursuit of tactical gains constantly depletes our valuable human resources, resulting in tactical advances such as capturing tree lines or small villages, with no operational goals in mind.”

A Ukrainian soldier tweeted a message in a group chat of veterans of the Bakhmut fight: “We’re all fucked.”

We've been interfering with the natural selection process for far too long.
Paramedics / police roll up on druggie and administer narcan to save them once. Next time they get to flop like a fish out of water. Etc etc

^^^^^^^They're all a bunch of fucking crooks in DC, IMHO. D's, M's, I's are all on the take. ^^^^^

At least it appears SOMEONE took the time to actually read a bill they were voting on.

However based on the above, the Repubes should not agree to anything .

Lets have a fucking stalemate/shutdown and quit sending money anywhere outside of the US.

It only works if we stop sending money to Washington.

In part one of this series, we heard from a Syrian medical student who said that he had personally harvested organs from Ukrainian soldiers and from civilians who did not always give their permission and were not always suffering from life-threatening injuries. We also heard from a former officer of the Security Services of Ukraine (SBU) who was assigned to guard the “black transplantologists” as they traveled from one war-torn town to another, harvesting organs. And we saw video of a man who appears to be a doctor at an “organ market” talking to a prospective client about the cost of a bone-marrow transplant for his son.

i have had trouble understanding some of the organ harvesting stories. you don't just whack them out and ship them off. the harvesting is a surgical procedure. not real complex compared to others but a plumber can't do it with a spoon. caring for the organ itself is a very important and necessary process. many will fail and not be suitable for use. have dealt with many liver and kidney transplants over the years. 1 of my 3 "busiest" nights in crit care was working to save the organs of a young woman who shot herself in the head. myself, transplant nurse, charge nurse and our crit care fellow were totally no stopping at all for about 7 hours. thus, some of the harvesting stories leave me a bit skeptical and puzzled. i am sure black market harvesting happens but just wondering about the entire process considering the need for tissue matching etc.
