Thinking about switching from a suppressor to a brake

I use a Thunder Chicken and wont go back to a brake. The concussion reduction is more worth it to me than the recoil reduction.
I have had no accuracy issues other than backing my load off for the suppressor.

I went from suppressor to brake and won't go back. I always double up my ear pro anyways even when running suppressed. I've never noticed the concussion behind the rifle that people mention. But to each their own.

having fiddled with a few, they change the ballistics of the particular round plus they have a definite lifespan and need to be rebuilt. A brake don't.

I can relate quite well to the 338 and the brake effect on 'innocent' bystanders....lol

I do like the double report (when heard from a distance).

I don't like standing beside one.......

W. T. F. Is this fud bs....

Cans do not change ballistics and the certainly don't need to be rebuilt if you pretty much use anything other than aluminum as your baffle material.

I was in a hurry the other day, and grabbed my rifle and left my can at home. Mind you I'm only shooting a 6XC in a heavy configuration, but after I left I was having similar thoughts. The already tame round felt like a red ryder/dasher with the somewhat effective TBAC brake.

On match day's I do basically what @Skookum does and run SF sonic defenders under electronic ear pro because I've had my ear pro lift off the stock on prone stages with multiple shooters lined up (not fun at all). I tried the same set up the day I forgot my can, and found that there was almost zero concussion.
