Rifle Scopes thinking of getting a bushnell 3200 or Millett

Re: thinking of getting a bushnell 3200 or Millett

I had pretty good luck with my millet.
I think the Bushnell is probably a better scope.

Even better is the Weaver grand slam tactical 3-10 fom midway.
Usually on sale for 300.

I've got the millet LRS. Actually, toying with it on the bench it seemed quite good so I purchased two more. Upon mounting the first to my AR flattop varminter, I found that when you adjust the eyepiece the crosshairs move around significantly. How can you hope for precision with something like that!? All three of them do the same. These are the first lower priced scopes (~$450) I have ever purchased (Obama's change has cut my income by 50%) and I will never go cheap again. "Buy once, cry once" is a rule to live by imho.

The millet is a good starter scope. I had one on my PSS 'til i got my leupold. It was a very solid, well-performing scope and i was very happy with it. it now resides on my brother in law's .223 AR and he loves it.

If you pick the bushnell elite, you'll also be happy. Either way both are good buys.

The older millets are decent i had one of the old Millet Buck Gold 4-16x56mm and had it mounted on my SPS-V, gave it to my father and he is using it on one of his hunting rifles. As for the new ones i wouldnt take it if it was given to me. As said before look at the weaver tactical 3-10 or the Super Sniper or Falcon Menace.

i had the same dilemma as you when i started out. ended up with the bushnell at midway for $200 mil/mil. i try to find reasons to hate it and buy a $2500 scope but just cant.. well, except it not having a parallax adjustment. just flip a coin i guess.
