    Seems legit.
    Here is the wrench:
They plan on filling these jobs with more H1bs and now they can afford the real estate in the new locale.
This making the desire to come to these tech jobs even greater than before.
Pouring more money into higher ed will fix it this time, Lol.
Guess what other side effect it will have?
Loading more blue team into red states.
I'll bet he has more than a few ties to India.
    Change my mind...

Your response is that of a loser

You're attributing many things to him without zero proof or evidence, based on his name and appearance alone.

I'm not going to change your mind. I don't think you're capable of changing it yourself.

You and your community can sit on the sidelines while other local governments with real vision take advantage of ideas like this.

Combine this with a strong Vocational Tech system, bringing manufacturing jobs back to America, and it would go a long way. One problem I see is that the best and brightest, even promised a great job, dont want to stay in Podunk, they long for the bright lights and frivolity that places like SF, NYC, LA offer. Theaters, clubs, sports venues, museums. Things that stimulate the intellect beyond cows and pick up trucks.

This is certainly a concept which I can support.

There are some real smart muthafuckas in the Midwest; let's go ahead and give them more to do than just build tractors and design fancy automotive assembly lines.

    The opposite in fact.
I've watched their lies and deceit for far to long to believe this.
    A few questions:
Are we short on tech grads in our higher ed system?
Why aren't we implementing these ideas with the current locations of high tech?
Why are we importing folks with degrees when we have a surplus already?

While that is true for some, it's not true for all and there are very many bright people who would rather stay and improve their homes if there were any opportunity

I see this as a win win

    Here are a few anyhow.
Stop importing cheap labor from foreign countries, that includes those with degrees.
Stop getting into trade agreements with foreign countries that are fucking the American workers.
Stop allowing mafia like groupes from exploiting blue collar workers.
Stop printing money like it going out of style, this has a side effect of making what Joe blue collar has saved worth less.
Stop expecting the same Government that has put us in this fucked up mess to fix it even if they promise to
    do right this time.
Stop high tech monopolys that have gone so far past the anti-trusts laws it is a joke.
Stop letting crony capitalism decide who the winners and losers are.

While it didn't take all day I appreciate your patience.

You either didn't read the article or are unable to understand it

There's more to technology, MUCH more, than phones.

You people are the most stupid of the stupid and those of us who don't live in population drains will continue to watch those who do become ever more politically powerless and irrelevant as your population (and congressional representation and electoral votes) continue to dwindle.

Some of us get it, but don't want any part of it. I've seen our cuck State politicians lobby corps to open offices and move headquarters here so they can talk about all the high tech jobs they're bring to the State. All it does is bring in out of State commies from Cal, Mass, Ny, ... Like I mentioned earlier, I've already lost one State due to similar and I'm not looking to speed up the ruin of another. Those population drains you mention are overflowing cesspools from my point of view.

I understand we will become outnumbered and the ever more populated areas will become ever more liberal. But bringing liberalism to overpopulate the conservative rural areas won't solve that either, but accelerate it. And don't call me stupid because I don't agree with you, jackass.

Rural America does not need to import "tech" jobs. The scam of NAFTA and allowing Mexico, South America and others to drive the price of beef, pork and produce out of business. That is what is currently hurting Rural America. Look at the current price of beef, the demand is arguably the highest its ever been but, the price is almost the lowest. Also, when was the last time a fucking democrat commie fuck kept a promise to America that helped her?

Its not the government’s job to create anything. if Uncle Tom would stay out of the way and not
tax and overregulate, business would thrive. They want to be the problem and the solution. Fuck this guy.

As long as the Washington political class and Wall Street donor class live in a parallel universe this is going to continue.

While it seems like good intentions, I don’t trust any politician. It reminds me of this quote:

The simple reality is tech, for the foreseeable future is where the growth market is and with remain.

trump promised to revitalize the coal industry in WV. I am sure some more people got hired. But it is a small fraction of what it was and it will never be that again.

more manufacturing can come back to the states for sure, but one of the reasons it was exported is because we wanted to export the filth and the pollution. No one wants that part of it back and even if it did come back it would be at a fraction of the labor force due to automation.

it’s absolutely fine for a community to decide they do not what to focus on the tech center. But that same community can not be surprised when it lacks the growth and revenue capacity of the area that does.

for decades countries around the world have sufficed brain drain. Their best and brightest leave to come to the US and Western Europe. Our rural communities have experienced the same issue. The motivatedthe adventurous go to college and they don’t come back because they didn’t want the blue collar job or simply put there is nothing there to pay for their tuition bills

time after time those small communities dwindle which leaves them vulnerable.

All of the bitching and complaining in the bear pit about .gov involvement and now I see replies in a thread asking for more .gov involvement. Brilliant...

You don’t need to force any industry into a particular region to make it flourish. Reduce the tax burden on everyone and any company in an area. Reduce the regulatory requirements and especially the minimum wage. Make it explicitly known that any legit harm/aggression to any individuals property by anyone will be met with equal punishments. Make the barrier to entry into any business as small as possible to encourage small businesses to pop up and compete with the largest companies. These guidelines are a good start to lifting a region out of poverty but they’ll never be taken seriously as long as the largest lobbies can keep buying their whores and their whores’ favor in the swamp

Well 308, I read were they want those of the fly overstates to go to college to learn tech( I believe most are LIB). Take that knowledge and be involved in better paying tech jobs. I get after they have had enough left BS taught to them that they won't see they have given up the best of what we have, but that's just what I see in the left reaching out to help mid AMERICA. YOU see what you want and I'll believe what I know about your new best friend.

no not at all. And if you weren’t familiar with the phrase “brain drain” i do apologize for making the assumption

it is not a slight on those still there. But imagine a community that each and every year sends it’s young off into the world to get trained, educated and then they don’t comeback. They don’t come back with their New skills and enhanced capacity to help the community they left.

the community labored to raise them, spent resources to help them progress and leave and now that community is not reaping the benefits.

year after year, generation after generation with fewer and fewer people come to replace those that have left or died. Eventually that community loses the ability to produce. Their product is out dated

I just can’t understand how someone can support the communist agenda? Arrest law biding citizens and let criminals out of prisons to rape and pillage. Take guns from law biding citizens and spank criminals on the hand and release hem from prison after they commit crimes with firearms. Tax the working man to death and give to filth. That’s just the beginning. Look at the lies and deception of the left. Look at the weoponization of law enforcement. How you can back the likes of AOC, Pelosi, Schaffer, Obama, etc is disgusting. How you can support the attack on Christianity and the destruction of the family unit while embracing drag queen story time and polluting the minds of the innocent. Grosses me out. This is jus some of the nasty shit you support. As far as being pro gun.... no.

Well I would encourage you to test your own statement.

see if you can prove yourself wrong. If you can’t, than maybe your right.
So see if you can find an example of republican group think. Perhaps a time where they as a group banded together to not get something done. Or chose not to work towards a solution but instead just stop another group.

do you think all democrats agree with each other?
    I know I don’t.

if everyone within a political party agreed witheach other there wouldn’t be primary’s.

if we assume everyone on the team supports the same thing as everyone else on the team, what stops someone from just identifying themselves as being part of the team just to get elected. I shot my first rabbit at 7 my first target as soon as I could hold on to a 22 4 or 5 spare me. I've been an instructor of some sort since I was 19 and I'm 55 now.
Duck hunting wasn't for sport neither was any other form.
You're a democrat so you have no problem supporting abortion right up to the day a baby is born? Your a democrat so you have no problem supporting illegal aliens or sanctuary cities? You're a democrat so you have no problem supporting a carbon tax removing coal or natural gas from powering our electrical grid? You're a democrat so you have no problem stopping fracking so we become energy dependant again? You're a democrat so you have no problem explaining how a former grand wizard of the KKK wrote the laws about abortion funding needing 67% of the senate to change it? You're a democrat so you have no problem with the reason why Margret Sanger wanted planned parenthood in or near all of the inner city neighborhoods. This list can go on for miles
You're a democrat so you believe that a cow fart is the reason why we need to be in the Paris accord?
Ask yourself this question. How does the a cow fart or smokestack change the amount of daylight on both summer solstice and winter solstice? Why does that change and the percentage of angle to the sun happen to coincide with the amount of temperture change predicted in the next 50 years?
Ask yourself this question, If the north pole is moving at 34 miles a year how much will that effect the major gyres in the Oceans? A hint would this when I was a young boy studying nautical charts every 5 years they would adjust the compass rose because the north pole ie magnetic north would change 30 or more miles changing the variation from true north. Back then the north pole moved southeast and the climate experts claimed we were heading for another ice age so you must stop using your aqua net. Amazingly the exact same person making those claims gave the same speech in 2008 and changed cooling to warming and every democrat is still sucking it up like a hoover deluxe explain it to me like I'm 5 years old

Everybody thinks the mid states needs to be improved and made better, where I see it other areas need to learn to enjoy this great country and leave other people and their ways alone. We are doing just fine without the help of all the "you need more taxes for this and more taxes for that".
I've heard too much of that from the pilgrams that come to SD for vacation...STAY THE FUCK where you're from
