Have searched all over the internet and any heavy barreled Tikka except the very expensive tactical is out of stock. What happened? Are they still importing the Scout or Varmint models?

Seen quite a few of the Varmints in the bigger stores ie. Cabelas.
I just bought a scout NIB off of Gunbroker about 2~3 months ago but I don't believe they are being imported since they have the Tactical out there now. One I got was a guy who bought it years ago but never fired it and traded it back to a shop.

Went to Bass Pro, which is the only "big" store anywhere near me and they only had the lite versions.

Reports are as mentioned above that they stopped importing them. It appears that they want to steer people toward the Tactical and the Sport but I could be wrong. We're doing a small project to make some available (and in a new caliber) but it's a slow process.

Cabelas should have them in Stock $899. I saw it last weekend as matter of fact. But I'm in Texas so...

Cabelas in East Grand Forks, was just there a couple hours ago, they have the scout.

I too have heard that they will no longer be bringing in the Scouts in order to get people to spring for the tactical.
