They make good quality but I am a Manners guy 100% been runniibg the T4 since they 1st started making them. Had QD mounts and a versapod stud installed when they made it.

I just got www.tikkashooters.com up and running. The forum is live as well. Over the next couple days I will be uploading the content that has been submitted.

So far I have two stock manufacturers, triggers, mounts, tactical bolt handles, bolt shrouds, and stock Tikka parts.

What other products would you like to see in one spot?

Nice site - I checked it out and saw that you have the SC review of the Tikka T3 and thought that was pretty cool because I bought that rifle and scope from Greg after the review had been done.

I used the JARD AR-10 trigger, not the heavy hammer AR-15 trigger, it seems fine. There is no issue with interference, in fact the bolt cycles a bit easier with the AR-10 trigger than it does with the standard trigger because heavy hammer have some trouble igniting certain .308 ammo with the lighter hammer.

Hey guys got one of the new BC stocks coming for my T3 lite, it comes with the recoil lug integral to the alum bedding block. I want some action screws but am unable to find anything in brownells, would like stainless hex or torx head. Anyone have the metric size available to look from non gunsmithing sources?

They're M6 size, 1mm pitch, 3cm and 4cm long. McMaster-Carr might have something. But if you are using the oem bottom plastic, you may want to take a look at the oem screws; I think they may have a taper on the bottom of the head to help center them, but I may be confused.

Since people started posting some major upgrades, thought I would share my Tikka T3 .223.

Basically all that's left is the Tikka action, bolt and trigger.

All put together and ceracoated by APA.

Thanks Yakko, here is the link and I already have some ordered. 10 of them for $7.40 plus shipping is a steal. I did find some from a gunsmithing company and they wanted $22 for two of them, not a bad profit margin if this is there source. Just scroll down to the bottom and you will see metric, stainless steel flathead with a tapered base.

Awesome!!! Very similar to mine. Except I have not gone with the CDI bottom plate and my barrel is still shooting 1/3 MOA if I do my job.

How do you like the CDI? DId it drop in or require some fitting if so how much? It will be nice to run the 10 rd magazines in many of the matches I shoot

I was unfortunate in that the T3 Tac .223 I purchased must have just BARELY squeeked by the 1 MOA guarantee from Tikka. It was definitely not up to the standard I was lucky enough to get with my T3 Tac in .308 which is why I got one in .223 to begin with. I have not finished a load workup for the rifle yet because I just got it back, but it looks much more promising than the OEM barrel. I will try to get some group shots up after load workup.

Branson:
I have added CDI bottom metal to an FN SPR in 6.5x47 and now this Tikka and I would NOT HESITATE to send any other rifle I need bottom metal on to Jeff at CDI. GREAT to work with and super fast, and the bottom metal is top notch and functions flawlessly. As for fitting, I didn't install either of the setups, so I don't know. Search for CDI on here and send Jeff a PM or call him 941-961-3185 I am sure he can tell you anything you need to know.

FYI the screws from McMasters are not going to work, the head is not actually as shown in the webpage, it needs to be much shallower with more of a pan head design than what is available.

Anyone making a drop in stock for the Tikka T3 varmint? I see B&C has one, but sadly it's not made for the varmint. I might also add I'm not able to afford a stock that costs the same or more than the rifle.

hey guys, i have a tikka super varmint in 223 that will shoot moa or better all day long with factory ammo. i want to post pics but iam not sure how. can anyone help

i also just got a new drop in stock for it with ten round aics mags. it is now a perfect gun for me

I'm also in the process of a T3 in 6.5 CM. My XLR stock should be in by January. I'll be sending it to MT Guns to have a Bartlein barrel installed. After that, I'm going to have the barrelled action nitrided.

I'm new to the tikka club, so new intact I only put my deposit down today on a T3 Super Varmint 7mm Rem Mag. Should have it in 2 weeks, my question is this:

Can you neatly install a front picatinny rail for mounting bipods like an atlas?

is it true that the only difference between the super varmeint and the tactical is the threaded barrel? Or does the tactiacl have a shorter / lighter barrel?

I just ordered the A.R.M.S #22 medium height 30mm quick detach scope rings, has anyone used these on the t3 tac / super varmint?

They should hopefully do me up to a 50mm front obj scope, and maybe a 56mm at a squeeze?

Maybe I missed it, but does anyone here have the 7mm rem mag version of this rifle? I'm wondering about getting a gunsmith to thread my barrel and fit an AS-50 style muzzle brake.. it seems that most of the brakes ive seen have been just side porting ones. It makes me wonder if I went with the larger arrow style would it further reduce the recoil by porting the gases further to the rear?
