Time for a win against the Radical

We need to push back against the left using their own tactics against them. Time to use Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals to our benefit.
Step one: find one company that supports the left, monetarily, ideologically, and through gift-in-kind support, and destroy their business model and reputation. I would suggest one of the top media companies in this country. A company that controls news and entertainment, yet depends on the subscriptions of 10’s of millions of households each month to pay their bills. A huge company that hates the average American, yet depends upon Joe Sixpack and Betty Buick to feed their conglomerate. All the while supporting the radical left, both directly and through the activities of its news, media, entertainment divisions.
Maybe Time Warner, Comcast, or Disney. But one needs to go down and quickly so we set the example for every other company in America, a lesson that shall not soon be forgotten. The lesson is we crash your business immediately and it will never recover, and who wants to be next. Think about it: the company loses at least 1 billion a month in revenue from direct subscriptions immediately. It loses billions more in other revenue within weeks. It loses its stock value within several months.
Pick a company, cancel every subscription or service you have with them, let them and everyone else know why you decided to end your support. Let them know the cannot ever recoup your business-you have to deal out a hard, hard lesson for every other company and shareholder watching.
Which one would you pick? Are you willing to play by the same rules as your ideological opponents? Do you recognize that you, as the financial backers of our society really have the reins if you choose to use them?

Any pictures of Betty Buick?
Only a description:
She’s eight foot two
Solid blue
Five transistors in each shoe
Has anyone seen my gal?
Her steering wheel has sex appeal
Her evening gown is stainless steel
Has anyone seen my gal?
Shoot me back my baby,
Shoot me back my Martian gal!

(with apologies to J. winters)
Sorry and lol

Not likely going to be CommieCast since they're a subsidiary of AT&T now, and CNN falls under their umbrella as well. That's the only reason they're still standing. Plenty of leftists throwing money at them the keep their narrative going. Most likely it's laundered money from all taxpayers keeping most media companies afloat.

All jokes aside. We, as the economically productive and responsible members of our society, actually are in charge and capable of changing the poor behaviors of our corporations and institutions. But only if we are determined, ruthless, relentless. Surely we are more disciplined than the Radicals that oppose us? Surely we have a larger economic whip to crack if we are willing? Time to crack it, pick an example to be made, make sure others pay attention. Can we do that? Can we?

And why not Comcast? Cancel everything you have with them. Let them know why. Don’t let them talk you into a another deal. Think about them. 10 million households cancel this week, they are overwealmed and the horrible publicity can’t be denied or ignored. Think of the shareholder pressure, especially if everyone canceling makes it clear we don’t support a company that hates middle America.
Play the game your opponents play, just play better and with more economic clout.

Shhh ... they'll hear you! There's Alinsky reading, Little Red Book-toting, hipster, Antifa masterminds everywhere ... even in the Bear Pit! Disney's got eyes on all of us. Remember what happened to Army Jerry?

Limedust,
I don’t fear my enemies. They can’t misrepresent my beliefs. Radicals need to run from my opinions. Alinsky has been dead for many years, and we are stronger by our actions. Do you really think you are going to interfere with my life?

I wasn't stating not to cancel whatever services you've identified- it's worth a shot.

I was stating that it's unlikely to make a difference because of where the top of the money funnel comes from - MA-Bell/AT&T. They will offset any losses by the subsidiaries. It just depends on how long they're willing to do that.

At the end of the day none of these services affect me as I don't have any of them.

Haven't paid for TV service for nearly 12 years and internet coverage is minimal in my AO and not with any of the providers mentioned.

So, I screwed up on the original posting of the thread and then it was an incremental series of errors of my posts. I want to correct that.
My father taught me a fundamental lesson on character; when you make a mistake, address it and correct it. If you make that mistake publicly, correct it publicly. I am taking this opportunity to do that and raise my hand and say I screwed up.
I actually know that I should never try to communicate when I am bone tired, angry, or frustrated. But I did that when I tried to post the initial thread and in my responses. I want to apologize to the forum members and specifically to an individual member here. While I will try to explain what I really tried to say (as poorly as I tried to say it) I want to be clear that my explanation in no way modifies my apology.
I am a fellow who has kept his nose to the grindstone for the past two decades. I have worked my butt off and kept my mouth shut on politics, except to a very small and close knit group. While it has been helpful to my career and bank statement, I have to admit some shame for hunkering down while others fought back against the liberal narrative and toted my load so to speak. I have deliberately never joined any social media or blogs, until now, to avoid blowback. And I actually promised my wife I would stay away from the political side of things when I joined here. I promised her I was strictly joining to engage other enthusiasts in the hobby I love and learn from the community.
I have tried to be a good conservative and 2nd Amendment guy all along; I have voted everytime, taught other to shoot and even gifted some guns and ar receivers to encourage others to get some skin in the game. I have held my nose sometimes as I have voted for rinos when the alternative was horrible, but I have been a grey man and publicly silent. I have struggled between the practical and my pride, but have always defaulted to the practical since I became a family man.
I joined SH recently and vowed to stay away from the Bearpit, but found myself drawn to speak in this community. I found it liberating to actually speak my mind for the first time in decades publicly.
That takes me to the apology I owe an individual member here: Limedust. I look at what I posted, versus what I meant to say, and I can’t defend it: I have to unreservedly apologize first to Limedust. No ifs ands or buts. Limedust, I hope you accept my apology.
What I meant to say (as tired, frustrated, and inarticulate as I was) was rhetorical and self-directed: am I the problem or the solution? Can I continue to be that guy who is “conservative “ but disengaged from the cultural struggle? Can I continue to pretend that the knuckleheads are just in liberal enclaves far from where I live?
It came home to me recently when Radicals tried to burn down the courthouse in Nashville. This isn’t a problem far from where I live; it is here at my doorstep. I have to admit it shook me and made me question where I stand and what I should do. I have no answers at this point, but I am questioning my approach for the past two decades.
I hope the members here will be patient with me as I struggle with my conscience and try to articulate my beliefs and find an appropriate and legal response to the anarchy around us.

@Spidersix I know your heart is in the right place and I believe their are many guys that feel as you do. We want to make a difference and steer this ship back on course for the better, but feel like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.
Thanks mate. The King had a great post on fourth generation warfare today. A salient point was not to get drawn into hatred, which plays into our enemies hands. I am nowhere as knowledgeable as the King, but I can tell you I believe we are being played by forces that wish to divide us. I think we can be loyal to our principles while being careful to distinguish between those with whom we differ in detail versus those who are our true idealogical opponents. It is a fine and difficult line, I admit, but we need to be able to walk that line.

Been saying this forever.

Our eye is off the ball. The emotional immaturity on display is a diversion. Destroy our history and what does it mean to be an American? Lose that cohesiveness of a shared past.
Chinese/Soros ? Could we unite to repel an invasion? As in illegal immigration.
Are we looking at the real threat?

I remember like yesterday my father pounding the lesson into me, so to speak. He quoted both George Santayana and Niemoller. Never forget your history, for it comes around and repeats itself. And never forget that your opponents will someday be done with others and finally come for you.
